About 24 years ago, we got married on our lunch break in Hempstead at the mayor's office - yes that's right on our lunch break (we worked in Freeport at the time). My mom worked as the front desk clerk at the mayor's office. It was quick but that was over 20 years ago so I don't know how things changed since then. Haven't been to Hempstead in over 15 years now.

I'm female by the way, but I subscribe to the "Single Black Male" blog and I enjoy some of Slim's writings. It would be great to read other's views on many other subjects.
