Write her a saucy letter, and leave it on her pillow. Not on just some lined paper ripped out of the notebook with the frilly things left on... Get some classy stationary, and write the dirtiest, hot-as-fuck Love Letter you've ever written.

Only downside: You'd best be okay with sometimes getting a little blood on your hands.

Any tips on dealing with extreme tiredness? by CD62in CrohnsDisease

[–]PetiteAile 3 points4 points ago

I totally feel your pain! I'm also 21, and have been struggling with severe fatigue as well. Have you had your b12 levels checked? Sometimes doctors won't check it unless you ask them to - I had mine checked, and it was SUPER low.

B12 deficiency is a form of anemia (hypocobalaminemia) which can make you weak and tired. I'm taking tablets sublingually for now, but later this week I'm starting shots.

Depending on where your Crohn's is, you might be having a hard time absorbing b12. If you have it on the last part of your small intestine (terminal ileum), you're probably having problems with absorption.

Don't feel silly about telling your GI you're tired! Crohn's has a slew of symptoms that don't feel related - but they really are! Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself!

Yes, Please! Just keep it authentic.

If something elicits a sound or phrase, let it out... But don't force it.

How do I tell my friends and family that Crohn's isn't a "little problem"? by PetiteAilein CrohnsDisease

We've tried prednisone and pentasa so far, but no dice. Right now I'm on entocort, but I haven't noticed much improvement. Last appointment my doc mentioned starting Remicade, but from the stories I've heard, I'm very hesitant about biologics. I've asked about getting IV nutrition, but my doctors have just responded by ordering bloodwork, and not getting back to me about the results. I had half a dozen vials drawn two weeks ago, so hopefully they'll have the results for next week's appointment! Every now and again, I'm able to stomach a few tablespoons of quinoa... Will pick up some puffed wheat!

My Crohn's is mostly confined to my stomach and upper small intestine, so I'm lucky enough to not suffer from constant diarrhea... But I have constant nausea, and usually vomit every time I eat more than a few bites of anything. Currently on a diet of puffed rice and soymilk, with an occasional soy-protein shake... Even then, the abdominal distention I get from bloating, has given me stretch-marks. Constant malnutrition leaves me too weak to do much of anything.

I liken the pain to "trying to digest broken glass and razor blades"... That usually elicits a more understanding response.

It really does sound like you're going through hell right now, and I wish you the best!
