I used Loctite/Henkel Loctite Fixmaster Poxy Pak, Fast Cure Epoxy 1324007 Specs. It an easily obtainable 300 deg F epoxy. My hopes are that it holds up in the dishwasher.

I did not make the mugs, I purchased them from World Market for ~$3.00/cup, They are actually tea cups, but they are a good size for me.

I removed the glazing material and contoured the holds with a green stone in a die grinder. Took all of 30 minutes to prepare everything for gluing.
