I am appalled. It's worse than I possibly could have imagined. For starters, why the fuck is there autotuned pop being played instead of, gee, I don't know, fucking JAZZ!? It's the goddamn jazz age goddammit. And it doesn't truly look like the director gave a shit about making it look like the 20s. Oh my god it's worse than I would have imagined. I don't even know where to start. They announce that it's the 1920s right up front. And what music is playing? No, not jazz from, y'know, THE JAZZ AGE--but modern AUTO-TUNED pop. Good lord. Not only that, but the whole look of the film is just wrong. I see this and I don't think of the 20s. I don't know how to put it, but it's like the whole sets and outfits looked like a giant costume party. I was waiting for a fucking Kardashian to come out.

To be totally honest, I usually get...those feelings...out of the way FIRST and THEN watch some ASMR videos before bed.

My thing is that I can't listen to other guys doing ASMR videos. A women's voice is relaxing but hearing a dude whisper to me just makes me feel icky.

It was my brother's favorite book. He committed suicide in February. He was 27 and had read it numerous times. I think that he enjoyed it so much because it was about a lonely person who feels alienated.
