Hypnotic Dust going for 20 silver each on my server is it good to stock back for Mop by fullautorevolverin WoWGoldMaking

[–]Nullberri 0 points1 point ago

I'm currently at over 1000 stacks of hypnotic dust. I get it from just doing the ore shuffle, you should not buy the stuff ever. The stuff is toxic waste from ore shuffling. It wont be valuable for probably 6-8months and even if becomes valuable, its ability to store that value in gold per bank slot is abysmal. the only reason I keep it around is Gbanks are cheap, and I didn't pay for the stuff in a really tangible way.

you need to delete the first few columns depending on your excel version, the first column should be item ID and then everything works.

How often should i check AH for undercuts? by zuuutein WoWGoldMaking

[–]Nullberri 0 points1 point ago*

Really depends on the market, I have two modes of posting. Resistance posting, and undercutting. In undercutting ill check, cancel and repost every minute. I do this for Gems and enchants, and some times GCE's depending on how the market is going. For almost everything else I simply find the largest price wall that's near where I expect the price to be in the next 48hrs and undercut that guy and then check on my goods the next day. I always resistance price maelstrom crystals, or anything else with high volatility and low participation in the market. when there is high participation were others are viciously undercutting if I don't repost every minute it will never sell and I've likely got hundreds to sell just like the guy undercutting me.

A price wall is 1 or many posters posting large quantities at a similar price.

Why I love the idea of no flying mounts til max level by thejunglecat326in wow

[–]Nullberri 0 points1 point ago

The true cost of no flying until 90 is that mining and herbing will be significantly more difficult to do efficiently at the beginning of the expac. So expect prices to be even higher then they were at the beginning of Cata.

What are you excited about in Mists of Pandaria. by Fernangelloin wow

If achievements go account wide then even a lvl 1 character would have the title as it is the achievement which grants the title, not killing the lich king.

How to undercut by Mahrtin wow

[–]Nullberri 2 points3 points ago

I believe the biggest issue is that the AH is largely run by sellers. Gold is so meaningless that players will buy your product at any price below obscene (say +100% over normal). So cutting your prices by 20% is a big deal because the player would have just as readily bought at the full price. Your not increasing demand by selling at a lower price, demand is inelastic for almost all trade goods in wow.

Why are graphing calculators, such as in the TI line, so expensive to this day? by SleepyMagein AskReddit

[–]Nullberri 4 points5 points ago

Easy, No close substitutes. Teachers only know 1 product, TI's products and that's what they've been teaching. With little to no competing products TI has not had to innovate or lower prices.

I may be weird, but sometimes I miss these guys (the flying, spamming orcs in Orgrimmar) by RCubed111in wow

[–]Nullberri 0 points1 point ago

The issue is that wow doesn't validate player position. So the server just believes what ever the client tells it.

I would just put the seller on my friends list and offer them 60s on the gold and I almost always got great deals. Never paid more then 6kg for the whelpings, 3k gun'drak raptors etc, I haven't been able to get the epic macaw yet tho.

Why Lunar Festival rocks by burninater10in wow

[–]Nullberri 0 points1 point ago

I made 70kg flipping festival lanterns in the first 3 days of the lunar festival, now most of the rich collectors have em and I've been noticing that they haven't been moving very much on the AH (see the same ones day after day, prices falling).

This was on lightbringer alliance.

Call to arms queuing macro I made last night. by Nullberriin wow

[–]Nullberri[S] 0 points1 point ago

Basic Idea was, I was spending a lot of time just opening and closing the LFD window waiting for the call to arms (Satchel of exotic mysteries reward) to show up and thought there must be a better way to queue. So now I can farm, use the auction hall, etc and the macro will handle the when to queue.

Lunar festival pets [short story] by montasin wow

[–]Nullberri 0 points1 point ago

I ended up using 4 of my alts to farm for lanterns and bought a few, traded them with the horde and sold the festivals for 10,11,14,35,20 thousand gold, netting me a profit of nearly 70k in 3days, which pushed me up to 106k gold =D.
