8 Best Food Getaways - The ONLY U.S. city to make the list? Louisville, KY. by whothefucksaidthatin Louisville

If you can afford to get fat eating at Proof, then I want to be your friend.

What ways do you think Louisville could improve as a city? What problems do you see? What are some good things about Louisville? by NeverSpeaksin Louisville

Yes a grocery store is necessary. Even if you could afford a condo downtown you have to drive to go to the groceries. And preferably not a grocery chain. Or if there was one they would have strict guidelines of how their building could look. A building that would match the surrounding buildings and not have a giant parking lot.

Message me if you ever get a Reddit Settlers game going. I'd be interested.

I will tell the workers there that there will be a social meetup group there. So feel free to ask when you walk in. It really isn't a bar, it's a restaurant so we will have a table. I'm hoping to get their backroom for us.

Actually this meetup spawns from two posts I have made.

one two

I live in Indiana but mostly associate myself with Louisville. But the New Albanian is one thing that I feel New Albany has to offer. And as I cross the river weekly to be in Louisville, I feel it's not too much to ask people to cross the river to Indiana.

I find this to be the most disrespectful thing I could do for myself.

Need help choosing a keyboard by Anon49in piano

I highly recommend you keep saving and either fix up your current piano or get a new one. Playing on a keyboard is not the same.

Yes, keyboards can have weighted keys that make it feel more like playing on a real piano. But it's not even close in comparison.

If you do get a keyboard you also want to get a good stand (which could be $100 itself), if not your keyboard will shake on a crappy stand.

Also you want 88 keys, you may think you can get by with less, but I've rarely played a song that didn't need 88 keys. If you are writing your own music, and don't use those lower keys. Try it a few times! See what happens. I bet you will find it adds a lot of character to your music. (If you are having difficulty moving your hands away from middle C, try starting with your hands spread apart.)

Also $250-300 won't get you much.

If you are in any way serious about piano (meaning you want to get better), you should stick with a real piano. Your technique will not improve on a keyboard.

Edit: Also, nothing beats the vibrations of a real piano. Headphones or a speaker system can not replace it.

Evil Dead the Musical by NeverSpeaksin Louisville

They did this production at the same theater two years ago. And I went to see it twice. I'll admit I am bias, I have a friend in the performance. But the first time I saw it, I went by myself. Enjoyed it so much, that I got a group of 5 other people to see it. They all loved it!

This year I'm going again. As of now, 3 people are going with me. Two of which went to see it with me two years ago. And one of those is actually in Tennessee right now, and is coming up that weekend just to see the play.

Yes I was aware of that. I'm trying to explain the concept to someone, and thought it was an excellent example.
