Late to the party, but I once scolded a girl in club who shot down another guy in a really cruel way. Don't remember exactly what she said, but after the guy walked away, I turned to her and said "you know, that guy may not be the coolest guy in here, but he's a human being. As a woman, you'll never know how hard it is to walk across the room and try to talk to a girl you think is pretty. Try to show some class." Then I turned my back on her.

She came up to me later trying to give me a "I'm really not a bitch" speech, but I just told her I wasn't interested and walked away.
