I get to the rack a lot easier, and my change of direction and acceleration is a lot faster. But people still think of me as a big guy like I was in the past and expect me to guard the heavier players. That got a lot tougher, lol. This one guy gets a kick out of coming in and seeing how far he can push me. lol
a lot of it is your shoe. Spending a little bit extra on some decent track shoes really goes a long way. I couldnt say anything about streching, Im not a big stretcher. But I would say watch what you're running on. Concrete really messes up legs, if you can find you a good soft track it could help a lot. And I would recommend taking a couple extra strength tylenols before your run. Sometimes if the pain gets really bad, I actually take some vicodin that I get from someone (shhh, dont tell anyone, lol.) And remember, its mind over matter. Pretty much every runner goes through some kind of pain. Put that pain in the back of your head, which I know is easier said than done.
Of coarse. One bit of advice I can say, and you might already know this, but trick your body. Eventually, your body will become used to what youve been doing. So throw it for a loop, and do something completely off the wall. If you can run for 5 miles, tonite run for 3 miles, but run it backward. If you dont lift weights, lift weights. Just for the sake that its different and your body will respond differently to it. One of the meanest, toughest, YET result producing workouts are circuits. If you dont know what they are, its strength + cardio training at the same time. Grab you some weights. Do a set of 10 on some chest, then a different set on bi's, then a different set on shoulders, all without resting. Then when you get done with all 3 sets, you run a lap. And when you get done with the lap, you do the 3 sets again. Never resting. Do that for an hour or so, never resting. Its kind of grusome, but if you're lookin for results and you're willin to work for it, try it out. Just somethin you might wanna consider.
Well how much do you weight now, and what are your goals. If you started a week ago, I'd love to give you advice if you want it. I always tell people that if they wanted to rule the world, they can. They just have to have the willpower and desire to do it. Same thing goes for anything. Lemme know how I can help..... and lol, ya you could definitly score yourself a palestinian women. I always say the most beautiful women in the world are German. But a very close 2nd are Palestinian. :)
Ya, trust me Im already aware of that. Ive lost the weight before. The first time about 3 years ago I went from 300 to 220. Then I regained it back to 280. Now at 189, im fully aware of what can happen :(
Thats amazin results. Whatever it is you doin, just keep it up.
haha.... u think I could market running? :)

Keep up the good work man!
Rathi, what are you doing to get progress? From my experience I can tell you the absolute best exercise is running. And I know, running is tough and boring. But its mind over matter. It really is. Like if I went up to someone who doesnt run on a consistent basis and told them to run as far as you can without stopping, if they agree, they may be able to give me half a mile or so. But if I put a gun to that same person and told them to give me 20 miles, I bet you they could with no problems. The first time I really tried running, I did half a mile and had to stop because I was so out of breath. but I kept pushing myself everday, and eventually you get to a point where you can run 10+ miles by building your endurance. And when you get to that point, baby your calories are just melting away. Combine that with a low carb diet, and trust me it'll absolutly blow your mind on how fast you get results

Whats actually disheartening is the fact that most people would believe someone's failure before they would believe in their success
It was 65 pounds in the two months I was back in the states. Then I stayed a month overseas and lost the other weight. The thing is, people become so infatuated with counting calories. I guess ya, technically 3500 calories makes up 1 pound. But if that was the ULTIMATE CALCULATOR, how do you account for the skinny guy who sits on his ass all day eating, and never gains a pound. I didnt eat a lot of calories. Around 1200 or so. But what got me where I am is not the calories but the fact that it was from lean meats. If I made my 1200 calorie diet from starches and other kind of carbs, I would have lost weight. But definitly not 91 pounds that fast. And to be quite frank, who cares how fast I did it. I didnt think timeline was that big of a deal. If you want to tell yourself I lost the 91 pounds in a matter of 5 years, go for it buddy. I just know I look effin good right now :)

Real unhealthy. Not only that, but basically I did it through the Atkins diet, which can throw your body into DKA, and cause other complications. Healthy weight loss should be no more than 2 pounds per week. But I didnt have that kinda time. I needed it to come off, asap

im 25, a tad over 5'11. I've always been moderatly active. never played organized sports, but was always outside in the neighborhood. Heres a video of me when I was about 19:
http://www.myspace.com/video/nawfsyde04/me-a-hundred-pounds-heavier/16719664
Shortly after that video, I got introduced to working out and dieting. In a year time, I lost about 80 or so pounds. And I remember my lowest weight got to 220 before I slowed down. Then I started eating a lot again and not workin out as much. I slowly picked up my weight again. When I came back from Palestine 3 months ago, I had another eye opening experience of my fiance telling me I had to lose weight. So I did. And this second time, I was even more hardcore than the first time. My average meals waking up in the morning and steaming some kind of vegetables. I went weeks always making steamed squash and tomatoes in the morning, and then a piece of skinless chicken breast in the evening. It was about 1200 or so calories. I think what did it more was me having low carbs. And I did have previous training before this time, remember my first big moment where I decided to lose weight. So i knew what i was doin in the gym and didnt completly start from scratch. What I did for 4 hours. About 1 hour on the elliptical, 1 hour lifting weights, 1 hour playing basketball, and then 1 hour 1 running..... not exactly that time, but on average. And I didnt do it all at once. I went to the gym twice a day, and then came home to run. So my workouts were spaced. That, and the help on energy drinks. I know its a bit hard to believe, but I have nothin to gain by lying. I was motivated. I had my wedding I had to get ready for. My fiance tellin me not to return back fat, it really hit me hard. I wanted to be fit for my wedding more than anythin else. And I tell ya, you can do anything if you put your mind to it. You can rule the world if you want, you just have to want it bad enough. And I wanted it baaad!

I would say she was more satisfied than she was excited. She made sure I wasnt gonna put on weight like I did the first time. And my calorie intake was maybe 1200 or so. But I really really believe it was more of the low carbs that made me lose the weight rather than the low calories. I would easily pick a 1000 calorie steak over a 500 calorie cheesecake.
I shaved with clippers first and then went over it with a razor. I'm scared to wax.
The skin is still there. Not very obvious in my arms, but if you stare at my stomache really close you can tell something looks kind of off, lol
haha, i like that!
I typed up some details. Got any questions specifically, lemme know :)
ya, it was tough. Its hard to believe it myself. But I was on a mission to be in shape for my wedding
