I guess what shone (is is shone? Like shine, but the past?) through was that the community wanted a brute update. I remember after the raider update, everyone was crying ahhh y no update for da brute?! So there you have the update for the brute. Most casual gamers are more excited about OHHHH NEW WEAPONS AWWWWWWWW, than about the quality of the actually game.

P.S. These are all assumptions I am making.

it's an old Cherry G80-1851. I love it. Not just because the keys are not really hard to push down, unlike other black key keyboards.

Point taken, but I am looking at the mouse for a FPS stand-point. I guess for MMO's its different... Seeing as you should have a lower sensitivity, for more accuracy, its makes no sense to use a high DPI.

Concerning desk space... you are playing a game. Not browsing the net. You should have a big enough mouse pad AND desk.

Definetly LASER. Also you don't need a super high DPI, its not like you will ever need 1200 DPI. 800 DPI is a good number for your mouse, then adjust the sensetivity, first in windows (also for goodsake, turn off mouse acceleration) and then ingame.

free public transportation

To clarify this, they don't want free public transport, rather they want that all of Berlin pays a certain amount money each month, regardless if you travel with public transport or not. An example was given that we, or the people in Berlin pay say 20€. Therefor you don't have a ticket. This means in turn there will be no people traveling without having paid.

Atm, Berlin has a lot of 'officers' who check the trains and buses to see if everyone has their ticket. This costs money, which would not apply if you did not have tickets.

Very nice article! And I totally agree, I had been playing LoL for quite some time and I made a point to not spend one dime on it.

I stuck with this and still have a lot of champions. The "offset" is not huge in LoL compared to Tribes. This really bugs me as spending 7.20 € on a weapon is crazy! As you mentioned 100k xp takes along time to obtain.

The problem arises, not on release of the game (or early stages of the game), but rather after a lot of content has been released that is expensive and maybe overpowered. I am willing to spend the time or money on an expensive gun/hero/item once or twice. But when a new OP gun/hero/item is released weekly, this offset blows up. Especially when the previously OP gun/hero/item is nerfed to the ground right before another new OP gun/hero/item is brought out...

This is also a big concern for me! Thanks for taking your time to write about it :D

Do you use the ARX or the GL? I would guess the ARX is better vs heavy classes as they are easier to hit.
