TROPHY CASE

Dee Gordon or Bonifacio for the rest of the year? by failcheckin fantasybaseball

[–]MadisonWisconsin 0 points1 point ago

i had both on my roster and was leading the league in steals by a long shot. Dee is just not hitting the ball and would kill my .avg and isn't worth the steals. i picked up jed lowrie and plan to keep him and bonifacio.

Bonifacio>Gordon, even if he is on the DL

Eric Hosmer by Mccoolsin fantasybaseball

[–]MadisonWisconsin 0 points1 point ago

He played well tonight. He will lock it in and be valuable down the road. If you can afford a bench spot and don't have to start him, that would be my advice

A.J. Ellis - Third in OPS among catchers. Owned in 12.8% of ESPN leagues by Curllin fantasybaseball

[–]MadisonWisconsin 0 points1 point ago

I am real close. He is slumping, hurting, and was last year a fluke? But he was so good last year, and hes on the Tigers.... Hes got to turn it around, right?? I got Lucroy over ellis while Avila struggles. Thought about Ellis too, but Im a Brewer fan

Played amazing defense, outstanding hussel, and turned out to be the exact opposite of Alex steroid Sanchez.

Or how about a Gomez? He never strikes out and will TOTALLY live up to his potential. We have too many infielders...

I have a mild/moderate hearing loss in my left ear. Sometimes it sucks and its hard to hear and distinguish words, but I love it at night. I just sleep on my right side with my left (bad) ear up, and I barely hear any city noise or anything and am able to fall asleep and stay asleep. I can't sleep on my left side because it just seems so loud by comparison.

edit: forgot a word

Jonathan Lucroy by slyfox1908in fantasybaseball

[–]MadisonWisconsin 0 points1 point ago

Dude in my league beat me to Lucroy (as my Avila is slumping). He is for real and will get a lot of rbi's this year. He dropped Napoli for him, who I promptly picked up! I would pick him up if can afford to drop someone

[Trade Advice] Bourn for Kinsler (and swapping draft picks) by MadisonWisconsinin fantasybaseball

[–]MadisonWisconsin[S] 0 points1 point ago

thanks thats exactly what i was thinking. I am just in love with bourn and it seems like he only likes Kinsler. I am going to try for a cheaper option. Just goot to hear advice from ya'll!

[Trade Advice] Kinsler for Bourn? by MadisonWisconsinin baseball

[–]MadisonWisconsin 0 points1 point ago

not many traders in this group. the teams are very reluctant and over-value their players too much. I know I can get a cheaper alternative somewhere

Axford was just dropped in my league...drop everything and go after him? by rossjohnson87in fantasybaseball

[–]MadisonWisconsin 0 points1 point ago

I would pick him up. Ax has been struggling a bit, but he had 49 in a row dating back to last year. The brewers arent winning though, so he might not get as many chances. Drop maybe Downs, he came on in the 8th, and it looks like the Angels are going to close by committee. robertson is hurt, hrod is great now, but will lose his job.

Zack Greinke for Carlos Beltran? by umbrakaiserin fantasybaseball

[–]MadisonWisconsin 0 points1 point ago

Greike has been amazing. His stuff is top notch. If the brewers continue to tank, his production might fall off. But he has so many strike outs, and yes, he is pitching for over $100mill next year.

Beltran will either be comeback player of the year, or get injured and fall apart

Allen Craig question by blastbeatzin fantasybaseball

[–]MadisonWisconsin 2 points3 points ago

Yes and Yes. Craig will be back sooner and the injury isnt nearly as serious. He was on a tear, and has multi-positional availability. I was plugging him in everywhere in my lineup until yesterday. Werth will come back eventually, but do you wanna wait for him to regain form? remember, he sucked last year.

I am afraid to watch them grow old. Especially if they keep doing TV.

If you're in Austin, my record store is giving out a Sigur Ros prize pack (including a test pressing of the new album) after a listening party for Valtari at 7:00 PM today (5/17). by vitustinnitusin vinyl

[–]MadisonWisconsin 0 points1 point ago

I thought they made 5-20ish range. Some are destroyed, some are crap, and some are kept by the band. Sounds like the band decided to send them out to top stores to advertise, market, whatever. Graveface Records always gives out a few test pressings to lucky record club members. I do wonder how many stores got these pressings though.

Do you possess an entire discography of an artist? Are you working towards doing so? by TheAdoringFanin vinyl

[–]MadisonWisconsin 0 points1 point ago

Working on my Lips collection. I know surfingelectrode is getting really close to having everything, he posted his completed 7" earlier this week on here. I have at least one copy of every album/ep, a lot of 7's, but still working on getting all the different presses.

Matt Moore owners, anyone else feeling cheated? by PureMDCin fantasybaseball

[–]MadisonWisconsin 0 points1 point ago

He dominated at every level in the minors before that. And in those 9 innings (and minor league career) he showed enough talent and promise to get a lot of people excited: the Rays, fantasy players, baseball analysts etc. So don't act like you knew he was going to tank. Maybe I am buying into the hype a little too much and you and the Moore doubters are correct that he was way overvalued this year. He has talent, he has the stuff, but maybe just not this year. Maybe there are some mental issues at play here as well.

It's easy to say "I told you so" now.

I think this was posted a while ago about Moore's slow starts:

Strictly Discs is doing something similar tonight at 7pm in Madison as well, and are also giving away a test pressing

A.J. Ellis or Jonathan Lucroy? by FaithlessValorin fantasybaseball

[–]MadisonWisconsin 0 points1 point ago

I really like Lucroy this year. He has been the best clutch hitter on the Brewers this year, and always seems to drive in runs when they are on base. He is also patient at the plate and will either be hitting in front of Braun in the 2 hole or behind Corey Hart (who gets on base). His hitting has gotten better ever year, and he is having an All-Star year already
