CDs and DVDs. Like blank ones or actual ones with shows on them protected by SOPA/PIPA? Hey, I want to help, but I wanna do the right thing. They should rebuy the movies (totally trolling--thanks.)

Everything else is noted... except maybe not car parts. But thank you.

Italian here

Of course, my mom is super conservative old school, and every time I'd leave the house when I was in high school, she'd say the same things mothers say, including "don't take any drugs", with a wag of the finger no less.

So every time she'd call me when I was with my friends, and I was doing something not-so-dangerous, she'd ask what I was doing, and I'd reply "WE'RE DOING HARD DRUGS". It always got immense suppressed laughter from whomever was in the room.

Considering how strict my mom was, she was a good sport about it. I'd just get the Marge Simpson groan from her, and then I'd tell her what I actually was doing... eating 5 cent candies from 7-11, sitting in a chair next to my pal as I watched him play Diablo 2.

Batman saves the day and breaks up fight in downtown Vancouver! by hopkinzin videos

2 things:

1: The most amusing part for me was when the cops showed up and were like "what happened?". They just seemed so dumbfounded, and, not that cops can be everywhere all the time, but it was interesting to see a civilian voluntarily, and ethically, do their job while they (seemingly) lolly-gag. Not saying for certain those two cops are unethical. Just interesting how the events of the incident played out.

2: Earlier today I was watching a show on the Food Network about gourmet street meat vendors all across NA. In this one episode, one of the segments was on Re-Up, a vendor that makes delicious pulled pork sandwiches in Vancouver. Their van was in the background of this vid, to the left. Thought it was anecdotal coincidence enough.

Wait.. wait wait wait...

You probably saw him at an AVA show, right?... begin nervous twitching

I've tweeted the band twice asking them when they're gonna announce an NA tour. I'm from Toronto. I've been checking the tours page for 18 straight weeks now. EIGHTEEN! EIGHT-FREAKIN'-TEEN!

Did he mention anything at all about continuing the tour before recording the next album? Anything?!

PS. I'm seriously jealous of you right now.

Who said: I think this only happens when women leave with rich men in only restaurant environments?

[–]MJsdanglebaby 3 points4 points ago

Okay. Well.

Men, typically... no, not typically... ALWAYS 35 and over, come in a restaurant, and frequent a restaurant, and become regulars. It's not their main goal, in fact, it may never happen. It's more of a bonus type-deal.

Anyway, after establishing a very light, friendly, amicable relationship with barkeeps and waitstaff, invitations to hang out of the establishment are made. After a the foundation for friendship is laid, with the exchange of phone numbers and Facebook, they're pretty much in.

Next are friendly trips to other cities in NA. And then, invitations to hot spot getaway vacays. It doesn't happen over night, but it happens. Very frequently. Sometimes girls are open about it. Sometimes they're not (but eventually you find out through the grape vine).

You know, if I was a year younger, I'd be wide-eyed about this too. Seriously though... it doesn't surprise me one bit.

This type of arrangement has been going on for years.

It's called recruiting your bartender at happy hour.

Source: I'm a waiter. Doesn't happen to me personally. But this happens. It happens openly. And, it happens in secrecy.

Well... not sure if it was a "bitch" move per se.

What if he had planned to do that all along, and he really, really, really wanted to do something like that his whole life in a big match? He's gonna not do it 'cause some people might think it's a bitch move? Talk about being super sensitive. After all, he is a twinkle-toed player. They like to do things like that.

Something like that, you only get to do once in your career.

What if Italy never entered a PK in his career ever again? What if his career ended the very next game due to injury, and he never got play again?

In theater school, our main teacher always taught us: never leave something brilliant on the back-burner, 'cause you think it would be worthwhile to use in the future. If you have a joke, a line, an idea--ANYTHING--use it. You might not ever get to use it again, or worse, someone might use the idea first.

I know that example is slightly apples and oranges, but, c'mon, why is that a bitch move?

It's just like people arguing Saurez "cheated" against Ghana in WC2010. How in god's shitty ass name did he cheat. You're allowed to do anything you want to do. There are repercussions, however, for certain actions. And, he faced those repercussions.

Totti's cheeky penalty wasn't a bitch move, nor was it anything else you want to call it.

It was a penalty kick. He's allowed to take it any way he wants so as it fits within the parameters of the rules And he did just that.

Look at it this way, if he missed, he would have been ridiculed for such a lousy PK.

Another example, is Balotelli against... some American team in some friendly match. He did some back-heel-spin kick on the ball while on a semi-breakaway. He could have just taken a shot. But he tried something.

Macini got so mad at him, and of course, the media took his side.

But if he scored that goal. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO man everyone woulda been pattin' him on the back.

Do you not get it? You can't stifle creativity. You can't not allow room for players to do nifty things. Mistakes are mistakes, and the only way you achieve great things is by trying. You have to keep trying.

Totti tried the PK chip, and succeeded. I don't see it as a bitch move that he scored; conversely, I wouldn't see it as a massive fuck-up if he missed.

He tried something.

It worked.

End of story.

It's so funny you mention it.

I'm not going to check Wikipedia, but as far as I remember, he was not selected for Euro 2000. He was, of course, a solidified starter for WC 98, and, I think for Euro 96 as well.

But yes. I completely agree. Have not seen it since this game. I wish I could screen cap Blackberry text messages. I texted my friend today, whom, was there with me during the Holland match "It's like watching Italy v Holland all over again".

Complete with regulation PK misses, and red cards.

1 upvote? That's it?!

As an Azzurri supporter, this match is my favorite even over Germany and France of 2006 World Cup.

I'll never forget watching that game with my two buds in my apartment. We were arm locked for the penalty kick. When Totti did the infamous "cheeky" penalty, I swear... I swear I swear I swear... my heart felt like lifeless water-logged gym sock. I've never passed out due to nervousness before, but that was the closest I've come.
