Match Thread: DFB Pokal Final: Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern München by likwitsnakein soccer

Didn't anyone listen to him saying that? He said that they were the better team following the 1-0. And he is right about that. He did not mean to say that they were better throughout the entire match! But following the first goal, Bayern had a strong period in which they played really well, leading up to the 1-1. Until then, maybe even up to 2-1 they were in fact the better team.

That's all he wanted to say.

I always wanted to get a padlock, lock them into some guy's gauges, throw the key away and then run like hell.

Thanks a bunch! Unfortunately I missed it due to work - shame.

Still, thank you for paying tribute to this awesome day!

One does not simply lose one's chains... Apart from that you are definitely correct. Plus, I wouldn't want to argue with divinity!

Never heard of this. I'd guess this would make steering and stopping quite an experience, though.

But if they fell off, than the caption "failure" would still be appropriate. And you could also laugh at them for losing their chains. Just sayin'.

Well, chains are expensive, it takes longer to put on 4 chains than it takes to put on 2 and they are usually put on in weather where you don't want to be standing outside for ages...

Plus, usually two is enough, since that is all you need, so 4 chains would just be unnecessary.

Another downside would probably be the noise and since it's uncomfortable driving with 2 chains, 4 is even worse.

Also, chains can break and then loose ends flailing about when driving can hit your car and damage it before you manage to stop. Pictures can be provided if necessary :-)

For going downhill you usually put the chains on the front wheels, regardless whether RWD, FWD or AWD (if you only have one pair of chains). Braking and turning being the main issue here.

For going uphill, you put them on the back with RWD, front with FWD and preferably on the back with AWD, though a lot of people also put 4 chains on an AWD.

The entire Bundeswehr uses it.

The design of the current cross used bey the German armed forces, also the one on the Luftwaffe planes, has been altered slightly though. Also it does not refer to the Wehrmacht but dates back far longer (as someone mentioned before somewhere in this thread). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bundeswehr

Ask the Israelitic Community in Munich and Upper Bavaria. I don't know whether they'll be able to help, but I guess it's worth a try.

This sounds kinda cool, where do you practice? I've seen people play in the Englischer Garten in summer, but apart from that I have so far never seen anyone play in Germany.
