to Catholics: What is taught on the nature of hell and it's staff? by scarydinosaurin DebateReligion

[–]Lokisrevenge 0 points1 point ago

Yes, my Catholic friend will tell me about the exorcism stories he was told at Catholic high school (so, double hearsay) and is convinced that it's real.

Starting a cheap home gym. What's the single most important piece of equipment to start with for weight training? by GENERALLY_CORRECTin Fitness

I would definitely recommend a squat rack with a barbell and weights. You can do bench, squat, deads, ohp, and lots more.

Alright, Fittit. We all know you love SS, but if you're not on it, what are you doing and how is it working for you? by BoobyNewpsin Fitness

[–]Lokisrevenge 1 point2 points ago

I did SL for a while, but got bored eventually. Now I'm doing a short hypertrophy period with a 4-day split. The weights dropped to 70% of 5RM, but it's much higher volume and the tempo for each movement is sloooowwwww.

I am gaining weight and enjoying it.

To Atheists: 12 Step Program for Atheist-to-Theist conversion; a work in progress by hammiesinkin DebateReligion

Positivism leads to an excellent relationship with the world around us. ie a positivist will hold views that are consistent with our best understanding of the way the world works.

If that's wrong, then I'll happily go be a fucking moron.

Well I did step 1, and now accept positivism. Oh well.

Logic is a framework for where evidence can be inserted.

Then at some point in your instructions, there needs to be some data or evidence that supports the claim.

To non-Christians: Was there a historical Jesus? by hungrylikeacaninein DebateReligion

[–]Lokisrevenge 1 point2 points ago

tl;dr I don't care

There probably was a roaming rabbi who closely resembled the Jesus that we know today. But until there is evidence that he walked on water, healed the sick miraculously, or rose from the dead, his teachings are no different than any other philosopher.

I don't know what you're talking about with the bullets. I've lived on Cleveland Ave for 3 years now and have never had an issue.

You really just need to drive around prospect, Cleveland, etc. There are tons of 3 and 4 bedroom houses for less than 500 a person.

To Atheists: intellectual honesty and self-identification by Skandranonsgin DebateReligion

[–]Lokisrevenge 3 points4 points ago

I'm an atheist, as I do not have a belief in a god or gods. Mine is an agnostic atheism, as I don't think that a god's existence can be known. I like this to describe the relationship between atheism and agnosticism.

Check out the documentary Inside Job about the 08 financial crisis. It made me want to scream "YOU'RE ALL FUCKING EVIL" at the screen. And it had nothing to do with religion.
