You have no idea what you're talking about, you're just throwing around catchphrases like "neoliberalism" and "Islamism." You won't respond to this comment.

So the Republicans are bad because they don't compromise, and Democrats are bad because they compromise?

I'm not a statistics expert, but I believe that 2000 might actually be a decent sample size for California. The question is what was the selection method? Does that 2000 accurately represent the population distribution? Do they weigh for demographics that weren't accounted for (e.g. many polls take into account that younger people tend to not have land lines and therefore don't participate in phone polls)?

Anyway, my point is you can glean accurate information from surprisingly small samples, assuming your methodology is sound.

Bullshit. If they had spelled everything out, we wouldn't still be here discussing the show months after it ended. Some of us actually appreciate subtlety. If you need to have everything spoon-fed to you then it's your own damn problem.

Well, they didn't directly. But when the ship full of Romans (and Jacob's mother) washed up on the island, the Statue of Tawaret was already built. Since Tawaret is an Egyptian god, we assume that it was built by Egpytians.

The earliest that we know of is the Egyptians. There could have been people before them, but we have no way of knowing.

They should get Michael Bay to help out. APOD doesn't have enough lens flare shots.

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks again for the links. I've been reading/watching through them... about half of them I hadn't even heard about before. I'm still conflicted, though. In most of these cases, the people responsible have been tried. Some have been convicted (discharged), some have gotten off (if on technicalities or on true merit we don't know for sure).

Here's my thoughts: - Of those who have been convicted, there needs to be stricter punishment. Something to fit the crime. I'm not in favor of the death penalty, but life in prison needs to be on the table. - Of those who were exonerated, well... I'd have to take it on a case-by-case basis. While a few may be innocent, there must be many who are being protected by the system. - How far up the ladder does responsibility lie when something like this happens? - The military can't be trusted with disciplining itself. There needs to be an external party to handle these cases. - In that scenario, in which these crimes are properly addressed, and the perpetrators punished, what more can or should be done?

What are your thoughts?
