I noticed this playing as a Monk... by thevirtualgamerin gaming

Going through Nightmare Act 3 last night I found a doorway that was a metal portcullis in one of the dungeons. When I right clicked it, the door just closed into the floor. That was when I realized this was the very first door my monk had not punched into pieces.

I'm not about to get into an argument about copyrights with someone who assumes that what you just said is a valid argument. Do some research, learn about copyright law.

The art doesnt matter if it's 2d or 3d, the models are still the models. An omen design is an omen whether it's a sprite drawn out by someone or the model from CCP itself. They don't copyright the physical model files, they copyright the "idea" of the model.

Because profit made doesn't matter. You can't use someone else's copyright without explicit permission from the copyright holder

I found a dog abandoned at a park (someone was seen dropping him off with no collar in the morning and it had been like 9 hours). Animal control was en route, and I didnt want them to get him cause he's a rottweiler and Orange County euthanizes "aggressive" breeds on the spot. I ended up taking him home with me.

Took him home, took to a vet, the vet did not microchip. He asked if I wanted to check for a chip, but it would cost me.

I don't know if you're from the US or not, but in almost every state I know of if you have any unpaid traffic violations (including non-moving violations) after x amount of time they become warrants.

Funny enough, when I was sworn in as a firefighter there weren't a whole lot of stipulations on the oath, but one of the major ones was that I had never been involved in a duel in anyway including participation, observation or future planning of being in one.

But the money lasts 24 hours... the cashier should turn in their tray at the end of the day which will still have the copied money in it. Money gets counted, put into the safe and bam, cashier is off the hook for anything that goes up missing.

My dog was attacked yesterday and the other dog's owner fled. Reddit, how do I find this scumbag? by justangryin AskReddit

[–]Lawlcat 3 points4 points ago

I was at the dog park with both of my dogs, and some lady had this extremely aggressive dog. I don't remember the breed, but it was some kind of large terrier looking thing. Probably 60-70 pounds large. She had it on the leash and was tryin to leave (by the way, this is an off-leash fenced in park) and the dog slipped out of it's collar and sprinted straight at my rottweiler and bit him in the neck. I kicked her dog off and she grabbed it, collar'd up again.

She started to walk away, it got off again and once more went after my dog and latched onto his neck. My rott is super sweet and doesn't get aggressive, so he just started running and yelping. We chased them for a bit because my guy wouldn't come back, naturally, and when I finally caught up to the dogs I grabbed her dog by the neck and choked it until it let go.

New Jersey motorcyclist dies after head-on crash with Ferrari by molo1134in motorcycles

If the people taking the cars have a state issued drivers license, that is all the ensuring they need. If this were the case, then we should be able to file suit against the state governments in every single car accident for issuing a license to drive and not ensuring the drivers are responsible.

The drivers, yes. The guy who let them drive, no. That would be akin to charging firearm manufacturers in every shooting crime, or charging bartenders in every DUI. People should be held responsible for their own actions, not the actions of others.

My first ever bottling! Story and mead info inside in comment! by Lawlcatin mead

[–]Lawlcat[S] 2 points3 points ago

So, I started this project of making mead late last year, and my first gallon batch began primary fermentation on October 13th. Second batch went into fermentation a few days later. The first batch ended up going super sour and I dumped it, newbishly thinking it was a fault of the yeast, recipe, etc. October 23rd primary fermentation began on my third gallon, the one bottled here. Original gravity 1.109, final sitting right about 1.0 after 7 months in rack time. It's made with 4 cups of wildflower honey and nothing else added, using Lelvin EC-1118 yeast.

Fairly plain mead, but it was my first experiment into the whole setup. It took an awful long time and I was sure it was failed at some point. Smelling it gave this weird...metallicy or sour smell, and tasting it had the same. It wasn't terrible, but it wasnt something you could drink even after 4-5 months. There was also this strange...scum you could call it, floating around the top inch or two of the carboy.

Disheartened and assuming I would completely lose these 2 batches to some failure of mine to properly sanitize, I just threw them back in the closet and decided to leave it until I felt like dumping them out, cleaning the carboy and starting over. That time came around this weekend and I took the carboy out, noticed the scum had settled entirely to the top of the liquid, and the dead yeast to the bottom (Keep in mind this was already racked from primary fermentation to a secondary, leaving most of the yeast behind).

Decided what the hell, might as well try it. Siphoned out to bottles, poured a bit. It didn't smell bad. It smelled like a light mead. Tasted it. Still a hint of sour, but all in all pretty good. The alcohol was strong, so I could probably sweeten it up with something but decided against it, just leaving it like it is for now.

I guess lesson learned is to just wait and let it sit, and even if it looks like it's failed halfway through, just wait it out.

Although, I have seen people who have done a mead from pitch to bottle/drinkable in a month, but I have no idea how that could possibly be done. Is it based on the yeast used? Is there a recipe/recommended yeast I could do to get month/two month mead without it taking forever?

And yep, the bottle label is just some beer labelizer website that I just whipped up something quick, printed on standard paper and stuck to it with milk :( Not a very professional operation by any stretch of the word

Warp Core Stabs, how do they work? by exdigger2010in Eve

[–]Lawlcat 0 points1 point ago

Not officer, faction. Non meta, all the same shit.

I use Shadow Serpentis scram and a domination disruptor

Warp Core Stabs, how do they work? by exdigger2010in Eve

[–]Lawlcat 2 points3 points ago

With 4 warp core stabs you have +5 warp strength. One officer scram and 2 regular disruptors will stop you going anywhere. An officer scram is +3, regular disruptors are +1. Hell, just 1 officer scram and 1 regular scram (+3, and +2).

My tackling Legion carries an officer scram and an officer disruptor, so my ship alone negates your 4 warp stabs and then just any other person has to put a point to lock you down.

Stabs are, for the most part, a waste of time against any kind of gang
