Get to fuck.

Watching a real time feed of people getting angry at the Jubilee Line soothes my own pain. by Larwoodin london

[–]Larwood[S] 1 point2 points ago

Ah, but the Jubilee Line was opened in 1979 and is, in fact, the newest of London's tube lines, so on that basis you'd assume it would be one of the most efficient.

It was the 1999 extension that really buggered things up.

Supermarkets accused of ripping off shoppers with 'misleading' offers - Which? survey reveals that buying single items can often be cheaper than attractive-looking multipack promotions by JackIsidorein unitedkingdom

To be fair, they make the cashiers do that too.

Commuting from Battersea to Angel by nicholas_urfein london

[–]Larwood 0 points1 point ago

Oh yeah no doubt. But at least Vauxhall is semi manageable. Getting on a Northern Line train anywhere north of Balham is horrible.

Commuting from Battersea to Angel by nicholas_urfein london

[–]Larwood 1 point2 points ago

Depends where in Battersea you're going to be. From where I lived on Queenstown Road, I could walk down to Clapham Common tube station in about ten minutes and just go straight up to Angel on the Northern Line.

But the Northern Line is a fucking nightmare in the mornings, so I preferred to get the overground from QTR to Waterloo and then catch the 341 or the 4 from outside the station. Takes a little while, but is much more relaxing. Plus you get one of the best views of London as you go over Waterloo Bridge.

Alternatively, Overground to Vauxhall, Victoria line up to Kings Cross, walk from there or take a bus.

Spot of Diamond Jubilee Tube Train - anyone else seen it yet? by anniemolein london

Yeah I've seen it a couple of times. Gives me a brain wrong when it pulls into the station. I want to think it's a taxi for some reason.

HSBC Debit Cards Blocked by timesyncin london

Alright, alright, pedantchic.

I thought this occasion that reddit alerted me to was more recent, but it turns out it was six months ago. My how time flies.

I made the same joke then too. How embarassing.

the channel will also show a revamped version of his online series Mid Morning Matters

Is this why none of the Mid Morning Matters are on Youtube any more? Annoying.

Nail the owner to the fucking wall so he squeals on the cunts that actually nicked them. Zero tolerance for this.

London's busiest and least busy Tube and National Rail stations by tefsterin london

[–]Larwood 0 points1 point ago

I don't have a problem with it really, but I do need to perform a mental gear shift when navigating it. The navigation bar being on the right really throws me off for some reason.

I realise it's all just a matter of convention. When I've been using it for a while it all clicks into place. I'm not in favour of homogenising the Internet, honest. The Space Jam website is a personal favourite.

Pretty sure it's been the same since 1999. The content is great, but I agree that it could do with a facelift.

Valve hinting something? by OmNommerin tf2

[–]Larwood 2 points3 points ago

The New Workshop Item popup uses the author's Steam name, so it says Tobor because he changed it to that, not because of a Valve hint or whatever.
