redwar, socialism doesn't work like that. Equality for the public good means stealing successful people's salaries at the point of a gun to make up for printing too much money and expanding the government police state, the welfare state, and the warfare state.

Yes, because the REAL problem here is that people, including rich people, don't pay enough taxes, not that Governments around the world have drowned themselves in debt and are drunk on printed money (sarcasm).

A 75% tax on a million plus means I would do everything in my power to get out of that country, including quitting my job. If I have the funds to make it to another country that is less totalitarian, I will. If not, I may starve, although starving is not my goal.

If it is an across the board 75% tax (which isn't far off a 75% million + tax) I would rather go through the fatigue and pain of starving than work to deliver 75% of the capital I was earning to the state to be used to torture myself and others (which isn't far off from a 75% tax).

I'd quit my job if a 75 percent tax was implemented. I'll die on the streets starving before I die starving off the scraps of what the State doesn't steal from my property.
