We used to joke about using one of the well-documented IE6 exploits to upgrade them to IE8 or install something like chromeframe (this being long before one could install this last little gem without needing admin permissions).

We didn't b/c we figured most of those poor souls were probably stuck on IE6 due to some corporate policy and we'd just be making their lives harder (or, worse, get ourselves listed as a malware source ;).
