notpron might be within your interest. It's a web-based game, and really, all you're playing against is the creator(s) of the game.

'Star Trek' soars with No. 1 debut - CNN.com

At least it opens up more opportunities for good stories. I like that they're putting one stage of the Trek franchise behind and starting fresh - hopefully they won't fuck it up this time.
The 2nd movie should be interesting.

Most of what's called Filipino now is derived from the Tagalog, but the Tagalog people and language is just one of the many ethno-linguistic groups of the Philippines. Filipino, however, is the accepted 'nationwide' language.
More trivia: "Tagalog" comes from the words "taga-ilog" meaning "from the river"
Hmm. I was under the impression that "boondocks" originated from Filipino where "bundok" means mountain. The etymology as far as I understand is that when the Americans took over they adopted the word to reference anything remote especially because there are several settlements in the mountainous regions of the Philippines.
Filipino is rooted in Malay but is not exactly the same. I'm unaware "bundok" means something similar in Malay but I'm pretty sure that its introduction into the English language came from the Philippines and the American colonization thereof.

Or, put another way, your right to swing your Bible ends at my nose.
That's brilliant. I'm quoting that from now on.

"Weary" or "wary"?
"Weary" means tired, "wary" implies careful expectation.

Dear Reddit, I need help thinking up a good idea for a psych project. Whatcha got?
Karinett [S] 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago[-]
Alright, I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip. :)

This sounds interesting, but I don't think my teacher will accept the proposal. :( A different experiment in the same field (behavioral conditioning?) may work though :)
I have 2 groupmates, but they aren't really very creative or active so the decision making has been left to me. So ok, I just put the condition that they'll be the ones doing said experiment :) And that they have to help me research/write the report, of course.
It's just general psych. I can enlist other friends or strangers too if I need to. :)
I'm in Ateneo, which is a university in the Philippines.
It's just general psych (psy101), and we're supposed to think up a question we'd like answered and do either an observational study or an experiment depending on what the nature of our question is. It's an open project, so anything goes for as long as we can define our variables and set the parameters correctly.
We're also supposed to do some research on related studies so we can submit a report afterward. :)
