Your title makes it sound like you want CS:GO.

The thing is that no matter how good something is, people will always find something wrong with it, even if it is trivial. He also gave one observation about it, not his whole opinion.

My opinion on this matter; Even if it does have something looks 'off', its still way better than the current loading screen.

I'm not saying all cards would be equal.

But why buy more boosters, you say? For that new card smell!

Wouldn't bad cards be the reason people wouldn't buy boosters? If they printed all good cards, the value of boosters would rise and more people would buy them, because there wouldn't be a chance of getting bad cards.

The discussion for Ember Shot is hilarious.

Tap all 7 mana, and your opponent knows it's over. Turn 7, the game is down to the wire, this is it. Go big or go home. He's nervous, he's got no removal. Oh god, what is it? You tapped ALL your mana, this is gonna hurt... "BOOM. THREE DAMAGE! SUCK IT. That just happened, ***." Draw your card, you stallion. You've earned it.

Diablo 3 without installation? by bledigin Diablo

[–]Javadocs 0 points1 point ago

You probably can.

Installations are only needed if they need to install other stuff like DirectX or other packages. They are also used to write registry information, but since a lot of game devs use ini files over the registry, that point is moot. Installs also create short cuts and whatnot, but for the most part, that's what they do.

Diablo 3 doesn't use the registry and it doesn't install any other things on your computer so it should be fine.

It takes some used to trying to lead the enemies, but I only shoot a few missiles to get the +15% debuff on them, then blow them up with Disintegrate. You won't get that spell for a while, but if you can hit with Arcane Torrent, it's probably going to be your best damage spell (at early levels).

I don't plan on taking two hits in a row. :P

If Diamond Skin is on cooldown, I usually rely on a triple teleport (from Wormhole rune) to get the hell out of dodge.

I posted something in another thread (but here's the build again).

I play more support, trying to prevent damage to my team with Frost Nova (and increasing damage on boss fights with Time Warp'd Slow Time). With Diamond Skin (I don't know what I'd do without it), I can resurrect others while being pretty much completely safe. And I pop Archon when I need to bring the damage, but I've found that if we don't have the enemies under control, I'm usually a dead wizard because I don't have Diamond Armor or Frost Nova to protect me in Archon form.

I agree, though I usually play with friends anyhow. When it came to WoW, I not only looked at the total damage done, but also the breakdown of the damage, and also other meters like Damage Taken, # of Dispels, stuff like that, but I was also a raid leader so it was my job to figure out why some people weren't keeping up.

It'd be awesome if there was a way to get all the data without the annoying people spamming chat.

I take something similar (and switch out Frost Nova for Slow Time + Time Warp rune on boss fights).

I play more support with my group (me, a barbarian, and a demon hunter). I freeze threats as much as I can, and can take a few hits with Diamond Skin and get out of the fray with Teleport. Archon has its place when I need to burn something, but I only use it if we have enemies under control (as opposed to "OH FUCK THEY ARE EVERYWHERE").

The Slow Time helps quite a bit on bosses, and since most of most of my spells are cooldown based, I take Evocation so I can be useful more often. I'm probably going to switch out Illusionist for Temporal Flux when I hit 45 because 30% slow on Disintegrate is going to be OP.

But yea, on Normal, I was using Arcane Torrent (with the +15% arcane damage rune)/Arcane Hydra/Disintegrate, but that doesn't allow for much survivability in Nightmare mode. So, I switched it up.

Unfortunately, that's what it usually turns into, but there's actually a lot of valuable data beyond who has the highest number.

15 Current Technologies A Child Born Today Will Never Use (Agree or Disagree?) by digger_ex_patin technology

I have to agree. Just because Windows is trying out the 'Metro' tiles thing, doesn't mean it will stick, and Desktop computers are way more powerful than laptop computers (and the high-end laptops don't have much battery life as well).

I'm going with the 'better late than never' philosophy.

SC2 and D3 are still good games regardless.

[–]Javadocs 4 points5 points ago

Exactly. I started reading the OP's rant and its the exact same thing when SC2 came out.

Luckily, they'll be improving SC2 to be more social when its expansion comes out, and Im sure D3 will quickly follow.

I'd expect there would be a folder named CON if you booted into Windows. You'd probably have some odd behavior with files in that folder, if you can access it at all. I've never tried, so not sure.

Most likely, the reason you can't make a folder named CON isn't because it'll totally screw up your system, but more likely that it'll exhibit weird behavior when accessing stuff with that folder in its path. From a programming standpoint, its easier to ban a few names than try to fix the bug completely.
