This. If you want to continue a strong and healthy. Friendship with her, the best thing to do for her and for yourself, is to get this off your mind and hers. She has to know there isn't a chance you guys will ever be a thing. By not doing anything you're keeping her tiny little glimmer of hope that you're not gay alive.

Now the shitty part is she might just be your friend hopping for more, but if she really is an amazing friend she'll find a way to get over it and you'll continue to be friends. I know a girl I was really into that lead me on just to boost her self esteem because she felt like she wasn't attractive and wanted by anyone. To this day it's hard for me not to think how awesome she is because she literally fit the personality and type of girl I want to date. Instead she told me she doesn't see us together because we are too different. Well, she is now dating a guy exactly like me, so she basically just used me as a rebound which sucks balls. But my point is I still has feelings for her I can't get rid of. But I know I can't let her back in to my life because I'll never be able to get rid of those feelings. At least not right now. I haven't seen her in about 6 months and I don't feel like I have any feelings. We can hang out but at this point I prefer not too because it just reminds me of everything.

My point is those feelings she has are not going to go away. She might just be waiting for you switch teams and from the sounds of it you're not going to be (are you?). She deserves to be told that it won't happen or else you're being selfish (as mentioned before) because u want to keep her as a friend instead of cut her loose. She could be chasing another guy, having kids, etc etc. whatever it is, I feel like in these situations being truthful and honest is the only thing to do.
