It's because Adderall and Vyvanse are both dextroamphetamine, which is a vasoconstrictor, i.e. blood won't flow as freely to your penis. An easy way to get it up while on amphetamine is to take some ibuprofen, which is a vasodilator.

What if she uses meth to manage her debilitating ADHD? Yes, it is prescribed for that (Desoxyn). Don't be so judgmental; she obviously is responsible if she finished med school.

Why would you not want her performing optimally? Granted I wouldn't want my doctor drunk or stoned, but I'd definitely approve of a doctor using amphetamine. generalizing and saying "all drugs are bad" during work is stupid. If you can alter your neurochemical balance to preform better, why the hell would you not as long as you are responsible?

I urge you to try meditation. I take vyvanse for my ADHD, but don't like to take it every day because of the appetite suppression and extreme anxiety it sometimes gives me, not to mention comedown's a bitch. I also used to rely on cannabis to help with the anxiety, so I know where you're coming from in that sense. Meditation helps me remain level-headed, focused, and rids the anxiety considerably if you get into it. It's also great in preventing stress from getting to me. have a look over at /r/meditation, it's an awesome tool worth exploring. Also /r/ADHD can provide more coping mechanisms. Benzos are great and powerful and I've considered getting a script for them, but I don't want to rely on drugs too much without learning to control my mind myself.

Let's not downplay the incredible potential of these psychedelic drugs to have positive effects on a person. As long as you do your research, are responsible and safe, and use moderately, there is nothing at all wrong with shrooms/LSD and you can really learn a lot about yourself and the world. I feel like posts like these perpetuate the negative stigma which doesn't help.
