Thank you for the long written response. Loving reddit already. "facing" sounds like my kind of work aha, I'm pretty good at keeping things neat. I am not sure if this store will have an electric pusher anyways. I will need to keep up on locations as I think inventory changes quite a bit. One thing about going from line to line to bag, should I switch when there is a break in customers or every so many customers?

This store hasn't opened yet, and although I have not met any co-workers yet, I doubt there will be too many older folks. When you said it takes them forever to get the bags out, what do you mean? Wouldn't you type of folks(who use reusables) have the bags in hand?

The thing about authority doesn't bother me too much as if no one told me what to do I would just be standing around. And yeah, I've smoked about a dozen times over the summer and would like to continue but not worth it. I quit about two months ago and took the pre-hire test. I would be against any testing, but jobs are too hard to find right now.

What would you say the magic number of carts is? How would you describe working as a bagger? Not bad, horrible? Not too bad? Also, how many drug tests have you taken? My contract said random ones every 4 months but I have a feeling it won't be.

Hope you're still sort of active on here as I have a question or two. I just got hired as a bagger at an outlet food store and have no idea about what will actually be happening.

Is a bagger assigned to one line or any without a bagger?
If there are no customers checking out, what will be my duty?
Is pushing a line of carts to the store as hard as it sounds?
Any tips/pointers?
