It is one of their names, yes, which is why the Chitauri in the movie have absolutely nothing to do with the Chitauri from the comics.

I'll look for the interview, but I believe Kevin Feige or Joss Whedon said that they couldn't use the Skrull or the Kree in Avengers because Fox still had the rights

The Kree are included in Fox's FF package, so I'm interested in how they do her origin considering virtually all of it is off-limits.

What "amazing fact" or colloquialism do you know is actually wrong, and you're sick of correcting people about it? by TestZeroin AskReddit

[–]GreenK 1 point2 points ago

It can be either way. Pronouncing it "Raysh" instead of "Rahz" is the correct Arabic pronunciation. However, the transliterated English pronunciation would be "Rahz". It's like how in English, we say Julius Caesar, and not "Yulius Kaizares"

I did not know that was a thing. I always figured using hot water was better because it was that much closer to boiling. Like getting a head start in a race. I'm not necessarily the cleverest of men

People much smarter than I have gone to considerable length to explain why things like LoEG aren't the same as what DC's doing here. I suggest you look it up

What is one movie that you hate, but everyone else seems to love? by jonscotchin AskReddit

Fair enough. That's reasonable

What is one movie that you hate, but everyone else seems to love? by jonscotchin AskReddit

Breaking any movie down to that much simplicity would make it seem crappy, and to look at it from that description alone, compared to other movies you could break down, it sounds better than most.

Good god, I agree. The movie is not bad, per se, but it's so fake. It's like the entire movie was built according to a blueprint on how to make an award-winning movie. It hit every single trope and cliche so perfectly, no wonder it won everything.

A redditor once said "The Big Bang Theory is nerd blackface". I wish I had got that gentleman's name, because it is a perfect descriptor.

He called it a cartoon because the movie was so overly-CG'd. Not rocket surgery here

What is your "never again" brand, item, store, or restaurant ? by radbrad7in AskReddit

[–]GreenK 1 point2 points ago

I remember the night my dad and I went to see "The Scorpion King". Afterwards we went to Pizza Hut for some late-night pizza, and while we were there, we heard a smashing sound from the kitchen, some dude yell "Oh my god, what the fuck is that?!", then someone ran out of the kitchen and disappeared into the night. One of my favourite restaurant stories

I'm currently looking for it, but it was at least six years that this was happening. Also, I may have been wrong about it being Fox, as I did come across something that said Universal owned/owns the rights

I remember Fox was planning a Namor movie a few years ago, and even had a design mocked up.
