Dave Coulier IAMA today at 1PM EST. I'll answer your Full House questions and more. by dcoolerin IAmA

[–]GarlicBreddit 1 point2 points ago

Hey, Dave! First, thanks for doing an AMA. As a kid of a single mom growing up in the 90s, Uncle Jesse, Uncle Joey, and Danny Tanner were the closest thing to father figures to me.

How nice are the Beach Boys in real life? When you filmed the Disney World episode, how many days were you there to film? Did you get real animation lessons?

DAE think Brave isn't very Pixary? by tails421in Pixar

and many of the major characters in Up were talking dogs

Were we watching a different movie? I thought the 2 main characters were humans..

I haven't seen the movie yet, and it's for sure not fair to judge a movie by the trailer. I will be there at midnight with all the other Disney/Pixar fans, and I expect nothing less than an awesome movie.

My family is traveling to Orlando Florida. When we go to Disney world, what are the must-go rides/attractions? by lenigodin disney

[–]GarlicBreddit 1 point2 points ago

When are you going? If it is during a slow period, you can probably do pretty much everything in a week. If it is during a busy season, you can still fit most of it.

To me, there are no 'never ride' attractions at Disney World, but some stand out as rides I can appreciate on multiple levels as an adult.

In Magic Kingdom, it would be everything. I know it sounds silly, but to me MK is the attraction - it takes you back to childhood, your own, as well as your parents. Each ride contributes to these great memories.

At EPCOT, World Showcase is a must do. They nail each country, and the food and drink is amazing. You can shop, eat, and talk to people for days. Also, Soarin' and Mission:Space are engineering feats on their own and great rides to boot.

Hollywood Studios is great if you can get lost in the theme. I love to stop in this park and listen and watch. They usually have actors walking around as citizens of Hollywood, and they pipe in some great old music all around the park. Don't miss Toy Story Mania - the line will always be long for this one, but it's worth the wait. Of course, RnRCoaster and Tower of Terror are awesome as well.

Animal Kingdom is not my favorite park, so maybe some AK fans will have better suggestions. I do love Expedition Everest, though.

Another great 'adult' thing to do is resort hop. Disney has some great theming in some resorts, and some great restaurants and bars to match.

I don't know whose generation this show is supposed to be the voice of, but it's certainly not mine. by coraltoin girls

I completely agree. In a world of 'Housewives' and 'Jersey Shore'. this shit is as real of a show as I have ever seen, next to Freaks and Geeks (another Apatow show).

WDW vs Disneyland - The Great Debate by TheWorldofDeejin disney

[–]GarlicBreddit 0 points1 point ago

I see two different reasons to enjoy a Disney park. One is for the nostalgia of it all, and the memory of Walt. On this point, I can appreciate Disneyland much more than Disney World.

The other reason is for the magic of it all - transporting out of the normal world and being surrounded by fantasy and magic. When it comes to really immersing in the magic, Disney World has more land and more control. Magic always wins, for me. :)

Need hotel advice for trip to Disney World Orlando (cross-post from r/travel) by ollyfin disney

[–]GarlicBreddit 0 points1 point ago

Personally, I love the value resorts. They are close to the same price you would find off-property, with all the perks of staying on property (extra magic hours, dining plan, free transportation). The theming is minimal but fun, and there is still pools and fun activities (especially at Pop Century, my favorite).

It all depends on what you want from your resort. I just ask for a clean room and a warm bed to sleep in. Values deliver.

:edit: To answer another question you had on the /r/travel post, Extra Magic Hours are extremely worth it - especially if you are a night owl like me. With evening extra magic hours, I can plan to wake up early, hit the parks, take an afternoon nap, go anywhere for dinner, and head back to the parks until late at night (sometimes even 1 or 2 am). It's a great way to avoid the child-heavy crowds and make the most of your day.

Masturbation, or peeing while pulling it out. You aren't alone.

That feeling is seriously indescribably awful. Because it's.. inside.

Pixar bringing back four films to AMC Theatres screens by obsorbin disney

One last note: I encourage everyone to go see Ratatouille again, because I truly believe it’s Pixar’s best film and that most of you are shortchanging it. Seriously.

I agree with this whole-heartedly. Cannot wait to see it again on the big screen!

I am a 18 year old Native American, born and raised on a native reserve in Canada. AMA by benhasakidin IAmA

[–]GarlicBreddit 0 points1 point ago

I have recently seen an eye-opening report about a Native American reservation in my area (midwest US).

I am white myself, but felt very moved by this story. I want to get involved - is white involvement in Native American life/affairs/charity taboo in any way? How can one help improve lives of these great people, from outside the reservations?

Where can I find a Disneyworld soundtrack compilation? by ericeric1010in disney

[–]GarlicBreddit 0 points1 point ago

On my phone, I have downloaded the Live365.com app. It isn't the greatest quality, but there is a huge amount of Disney parks radio stations on there.

Sorcerer Radio is my personal favorite. If you sign up and then type 'disney world' into the search bar on Live365.com, it will bring up all the different stations. Just add them to your 'presets' and you can access them super quick on your phone.
