Stanley Kubrick and Sue Lyon On the Set of "Lolita" by GambitOfDesiresin StanleyKubrick

Yeah, I watched it a few months ago. It's always pleasing to be reminded of how narrow-minded Hollywood can be...

If Kubrick didn't do so many takes, I imagine he would've worked with a lot more people longer... and would've made more films.

Nice to know that Kubrick could still be so affecting.

Such is the luck of someone who becomes typecast as Lolita, then getting fed up with being typecast as Lolita.

It's worth a lot and you could sell it, but I suggest you keep it for two reasons. One: it'll only become worth more as time goes on. Two: imagine the envy of all the, not just the Kubrick fans, but cinephiles and cineastes around the world who'd spend a week in room 237 to have it. We live in rough times, a $130 check to the makers of Superman sold for $160,000, a painting sold for over $10,000,000, and I'm not one to demand how someone should live their life, but I suggest keeping it.

Filming Barry Lyndon by MrPrestigein StanleyKubrick

Well... Kubrick wasn't one to change clothes often. During either "Spartacus" or "Dr. Strangelove", he wore the same suit through such a series of days that he reeked and had to be told to buy a new suit. So he did and wore that one until he got complaints. I wanna say "Spartacus", but the only way I could find out for sure is by rereading that section of Vincent LoBrutto's biography... and I couldn't in good conscience pick up that book and begin in the middle.
