When I was like 8 I was playing outside with my sister and brother. My sister was on a bike, I was on a skateboard and I was mad at her for something. I don't really know why, but I decided to roll the skateboard in the direction of my sister. She didn't see it, rolled over it with the bike and fell off and broke her arm. I never told her I was the reason why this happened. :C

I spent the day in the vicinity of the family, at times browsing reddit. If ay any time I'd lol, my obnoxious sister and brother in law would overwhelmingly inquire WAT'S SO FUNNY and then I would have to pretend what I had just seen was not in fact hilarious, only because I was trying to avoid engaging in conversation.

Three days have never been so long.

I had a falling out once with my sister - I was maid of honor in her wedding to a guy I did not like at all. He always had a way to make me uncomfortable with saying inappropriate things to me, and she noticed that I was stand-offish toward him and she proposed a sit-down so we could talk things out.

It was awkward, not easy and although I gave her my side and explained how I was feeling, she wasn't receptive because this was the man she's in love with (and although I told her I wanted her to be happy and didn't see it happening with this guy) and so nothing too positive came of it. She told me if I wasn't supportive maybe I shouldn't be maid of honor, and I agreed.

When it came down to it, I realized she's my sister and although we are very close, I have no decision over her life decisions. I decided to shut up and be there for her on her day, and even when they've had issues after being married I've been there for her to talk to, and haven't once said "I told you so".

It might be hard, but sometimes the best thing to do is shoot her a well thought out email and ask her if you guys can sit and talk about things. I can't promise you'll reach a reconciliation, but it's a start, and sometimes these things work their way out after she's had time to think about what you said to her. Good luck!

Curvy, yes - but not a size 16 like it's known today. Having a 22-inch waist and 35-inch hips and only weighing 118 pounds is no where near how a present-day size 16 would look.

First of all, I don't believe it was ever thought she was a size 16 (I'd always heard somewhere between a 12-14 and that's not what a size 12-14 would be today). The last time this was brought up someone had a link to a story about someone buying some of Marilyn's dresses in an auction, and by today's standards she would be somewhere between a size 2 to a 6 (I could be wrong) but it just goes to show how differently dresses are sized these days.

Also, I think somewhere in that same article it says something about her waist-to-hip ratio being so curvy that it would be difficult for even someone a size 2-4 to fit in those dresses.
