Johnson might be having the contract year bump I think. But he is in his prime. I don't think he'll be a disappointment if we gave him 3 years.

I think Johnson's power and steals and walks might have an edge on escobars on-base, but I've got give the advantage to escobars contract and position.

Watching Johnson though, it doesn't seem like he ever has a bad at-bat

I'd rather have escobar though. He is having a down year, but he has a very friend contract, and is younger. I don't think we could get Johnson on team-friendly contract.

Probably not Hech at 2b. More likely Escobar.

You're probably right. I would say we will definitely see Hech in 2013. He might even be a September call up if we can't re-sign Johnson. That way he can get some major league ABs before having a full season (granted, not a probable situation)

Kelly is solid.

I think we still have a chance to sign him to a fair-market contract if we do it soon. My guess is 14 mil over 3 seasons.

I'd think they would try and do a two year contact with an option. Something like 6mil, 8mil, then option year of 8mil. There'd have to be a good buyout on the option for Kelly though, probably around 2 mil.

But I think AA wants to see what becomes of Hech, and what opens up at the deadline before talking extension with KJ.

My mom used to ask me about my girlfriends. She knew it emberassed me, so she kept doing it.

One time she asked me at the dinner table in front of other family members just to emberass me in front of as many people as possible.

I started giving her details. Not the details she wanted. Details of our sex life, in great detail. She hasn't asked me since.
