Wow... you must have gone HARD :| The entire manga is nearly 7,000 pages long. I've been averaging about 1000-1500 pages a day and it's exhausting. So much death, darkness and violence.

I watched the anime nearly 8 years ago, but I had no idea there was a movie! I'll check it out :)

Also, kind of a spoiler, but I'm a little disappointed at the part where they meet the Witch. It feels like Kentaro Miura must have just finished reading Fellowship of the Ring and wanted to incorporate it into Berserk. Feels too out of place.

The world should leave them to their fate. If an entire generation of Qataris dies out due to diabetes and heart disease some of them might wake up and realize things need to change. The idea that culture and religion should restrict your ability to do something as basic as maintain adequate health is ridiculous.

I apologize for my tone... usually I wouldn't get worked up over something I read on the internet. I should clarify that this really had nothing to do with atheism, I don't generally frequent that subreddit. I just read that comment and felt like it was marginalizing what happened to this girl to such a huge degree and it was a little infuriating. To trivialise something like this saying it was part of God's plan and that its all well and good now she is in heaven just feels so outrageous to me. Its the reason why so many people can just brush off terrible events like this and feel ok about it, when in reality the world isn't ok. There's so many problems in the world that need fixing and if you just say "oh its ok, he/she is in heaven now... it was meant to be" nothing ever changes. Its just a twisted sort of apathy.
