It has taken me 26 years but I just realized something. Time is not money. Money is Money. Time is priceless. by WhyNotFirein self

Pink is for girls, Blue is for boys. by WildYorkiesin Equality

[–]ExtraGravy 4 points5 points ago

I don't care. The color doesn't seem to matter. What matters are the conversations and daydreams about her options and possibilities in life.

We decorated my daughter's room with neutral colors when she was too young to have her own opinions. Now she has ideas on what she wants (4yr old) and gets pink whenever she wants it (we don't push it nor restrict it). She also says she wants to grow up to be an Architect, Orca Trainer, and in a rock band...

Her friends will like pink and so will she.

I recommend using the Unabridged audio book for your first "reading".

He created the only world where I really wish I had been born. After reading this book I have a new unrealistic dream, to sit on the side of a mountain in a Millenarian Math with my Fras.

Thanks dude. That helps. A table of feature comparisons would be interesting, but the API page worked really well to give me an impression of the differences.

I'm sick of seeing posts here on people thinking they spend way too much on food when it's really under the USDA estimate, so here's a handy table. ($214/mo. for a single male, Aug 2011) by one_hot_llamain Frugal

What kind of difficulties could I face with a team that is experienced to jQuery. Will introducing this be a big switch, a small one, or seamless? What type of things might I still need jQuery to handle that neon.js won't?

1st world citizens don't often have experience with needs. Needs are so simple and easily satisfied that most of us barely notice them. Now, wants on the other hand are well marketed and never satisfied.

Frame his trip as an opportunity to learn about himself. "Know thyself" is a safe way to get people to introspect and ask questions... if he follows this long enough it will open him up.

I don't know about the rest of Austin, but my lawn is dying. Much of the neighborhood is losing their lawns too. The two day a week watering restrictions can't compete with the heat and the lack of rain.

Why doesn't Microsoft update their Zune HD regularly like Apple does the iPod touch? Is it just one try then give up? by Slyxin tech

[–]ExtraGravy 1 point2 points ago

Almost no apps are available. Loading time on much of the Zune software screens are really slow. Much of the music that I would like to listen to is not available - I can download many titles from Amazon but not Zune... Oh and the "Picks" in marketplace are useless. Also, when I want to buy something the purchase screen loads way slow...

I wish they would add more servers to speed up the response times of their applications and they need to stay on top of getting music - they are letting other outlets get my sales when I can't access the music through their interface. They need to innovate more on their "Picks" and aids for music discovery. Also, they need to allow us to provide multiple genres for music through a tagging system of some kind - much modern music doesn't comfortably fit in a single genre.

All of that said, I love my ZuneHD - it just feels like they aren't pushing forward.
