I did kaon with 3 people yesterday (2nd DPS wanted to get food) not much of a challenge, however we were all high gear.

side note - if you want I can dps with you if you are ever short again

I would do this to an extent after asking for people in General chat and in LFG channels, then go through the list ask /w people who are the right level as well as a class you need. i.e. If I have 2DPS and a tank, there is no point me messaging half of the classes, so I look through and only send the message to commandos, scoundrels and sages.

I was trying to PUG for Lost Island HM. A fresh level 50 /w me and I politley tell him he is undergearded for it. He then spends the next 10minutes complaining to me and on he fleet about how can he ever get good gear if nobody will group with him. He also failed to notice someone else trying to PuG for Taral V HM in chat

Maybe Bioware intended augmented gear to take longer than just going to GTN and buying it?

If you want the best pvp gear you will have to play more to earn the extra credits to buy it. Not just reach warhero and have accumulated enough credits to extract mods, buy augments and buy gear.
