Cast of Community and Dan Harmon are going to be performing improv at IO West! by heroboticin community

I'd still watch a crappy recording of the event, but it probably wouldn't be as enjoyable.

Is Google Chrome any better than Firefox? by brodie268in AskReddit

Firefox is made by a non-profit. IE and Chrome on the other hand are made by companies that have an interest in selling targeted ads and tracking your behavior.

Google has been called out for circumventing Internet Explorer privacy settings before (look up P3P). Would you trust them with your privacy?

My unusual personality is why I don't connect to people all that well. I could water down my personality to something that resembles that of a normal person but it just isn't me and I'd hate being a boring version of myself.

Gillian Jacobs on Comedy Bang Bang and the drama of words with friends by Erif_Neergin GillianJacobs

I didn't expect that she'd reveal so much personal details about her life. I can somewhat relate to the anxiety and I had no idea that I'm not the only one. I don't think she's weird for talking to herself on the playground. I vaguely recall me doing similar things when I was younger but I turned out fine.

I guess I should take it with a grain of salt because it's a comedy show but she said that she wasn't doing a bit, so I'm assume it's all true.

I don't think that Harmon would be able to do his thing with anything less than absolute control. He's a perfectionist.

Depression is a mental and social cancer. It seeps into your life, it infects you. It takes you over. All the things you enjoy, the things that make you happy, they become meaningless. Imagine one day you woke up, and your favorite meal in the whole world, tasted like shit.

Relevant South Park episode.

Alison Brie will be on Conan this Thursday. by chandelurein community

[–]DownvotesYourMom 5 points6 points ago

Of course. The actors maintained a level of professionalism while still showing their appreciation for Harmon. They handled it the best they could.

The industry expects them to be professional and discrete about this. That's the way it works. (Sony, sadly, chose to fire Harmon through a press release which is kinda hypocritical.)

It's the elephant in the room right now. I doubt that she'll disclose any details we didn't know yet though.

OP, in case you don't know what this poster is talking about: the Atomium monument is a copyrighted monument and you're not allowed to post pictures of it on the internet without paying royalties. Yes, it is ridiculous.

Ugly wooden utility poles everywhere. Why do they still use wood instead of concrete or steel?

Speaking of which, walking around on Google Street View I noticed that American traffic lights seem to look a little old and clumsy. The wiring often wasn't even hidden underground. Is this a national thing?

Consider yourself lucky... season 1 hasn't even been broadcast in Belgium yet.

It's not on iTunes either, I can't sign up for Hulu Plus and season 2 doesn't come out on DVD for region 2 until September.
