how is criticism of a party for being supported by a wealthy man (every party recieves small and large donations)comparable to a party being critical of a company becasue of that party's policy?

Wood's motivation is personal, not political. Having stepped back from executive duties at Wotif he has time to think. His one-year-old grandson, Liam, focuses Wood's mind on what the world will be like in a century.

''As a kid I used to go fishing a lot, around Brisbane,'' he says. ''I used to catch mud crabs at the mouth of Oxley Creek, which runs into the Brisbane River … you could catch real fish there and real mud crabs and take them home and eat them.

''I used to go fishing on the beaches of Moreton Island, on school fishing club trips. The summer whiting over there were famous. You'd go and catch a bagful in a couple of hours. So in 50 years I personally have seen the complete decline of those marine environments from something that was just fantastic to something that is way less. There are no fish on the beaches of Moreton Island any more and you never see people fishing there.''
