Well, i would go for a drink with you if i knew you. I'm in northern England. You could go out and have a few drinks, but i would only do this if you want to socialise. Not to just drink more and sit alone. Ive never seen the point in that and so many do it here.

I dont think you even need to drink at all to be honest. Its like some sort of culture here in the UK. You have to go out for a drink to socialise and its just stupid.

So offer to buy others a drink, it is a good conversation opener etc and it instantly makes you a friend. Drink sparingly yourself especially if it doesnt help with your anxiety. And just relax, let others do the talking if you like and just remain attentive and there you go, you made a friend for the night.

Cant say i agree with you there. Society is not more open to discuss male rape and male vulnerability. Perhaps it is a little more lately. But a big problem for men is not feeling able to discuss such things because its often not treated seriously for them and is frowned on etc.

Yeah, after I noticed that I pretty much have not done anything productive. I just end up disabling it when I run out of time.

It should at least be hidden from the extensions list, otherwise it's useless for people like me.

I can understand this, I feel the same way. But i don't pity people of faith, in fact i somewhat envy them. They can put blind faith in something and truly believe in it, and seem the happier for it. It must be nice, peaceful even. When ours is a life of struggle to find answers and reason, they have an answer for everything.

Great story. Can i ask a few questions about travelling like this?

I am just mostly curious as to how you get around and find places for shelter, food, hostels, directions, and what you do in a situation where a local doesn't speak English.

It seems to me like it would be pretty scary if you got lost or robbed. What would you do? I mean it sounds fantastic and i would love to do something like it, but i'm not sure i have the courage.

I am just hoping you could shed a little light on how it works really. Also details, of how one might go about, preparing and surviving an adventure like this.

Really surprised to see a discussion here about this. I thought this was /truefilm not /movies. Just confused as to why fellow film fans think it is even worthy of a discussion. Personally it's the sort of film i would have to be paid to watch. No idea what the appeal is for those of you with an active interest in cinema. Must be an American thing i guess.

It just doesn't work like that at all. I mean i could go on forever lecturing you and all that stuff but i wont. Basically you have to work for a relationship, especially as the guy. You need to go and instigate it, because you wont just stumble across some girl one day and 'click' with her.

There are many guys vying for a girls attention all the time, it is basically a competition at the end of the day, and it always will be. You need to show that you are a good partner, so this is not going to happen unless you do actually 'man up' in some way or another. You need to put a lot of effort into it, because the right woman is not going to fall into your lap.

It is no good ignoring the reality of it. Accept what is expected from you as a guy in a relationship and finding one, otherwise you won't find much success at all.

Looks like war and the situations/people he has encountered has changed him. I think that quite clear.

Now you can be understanding and sympathetic towards him and try to help or you could leave him be.

It wont help getting upset and frustrated at him for not 'feeling' anything. You need to either find him help or be patient in him coming to terms with himself.
