Ours does this too, but surprisingly, if you put your pace up to his belly - and it's very worth risking as he is soo soft -, he will just lay there instead of latching on, like he would a hand.

Many People who are allergic to cats have little or no problem with the 'natural' long hair breeds:

Maine Coon, Siberian, Norwegian Forest Cat.

We have a Norwegian, he's big (~15 lbs), beautiful, loving, and sleeps in the bed with us; My wife is quite allergic to most cats.

I have no issues with it besides the inability to send MMS.
Visual glitchiness can be resolved in settings/developer options - check the box for 'force GPU rendering', and turn the animation scale down to .5.

How about teamhacksung's ICS Port for Fascinate by jt1134 and team hacksung?

Using it as my daily driver, quite stable, worst issue is that you can receive but not send MMS.
