[Monk] What weapons to use? by air_pilotin Diablo3Strategy

[–]Ctushik 0 points1 point ago

Getting over 2.0 attacks per second is really nice for spirit generation. Daggers are the fastest, then swords/fists I think. You can get attack speed bonus on weapons, shields, gloves and jewelry.

Monks, lets talk builds! by JaggedOnein Diablo

How is your spirit generation with that? I'm liking to rune Breath of Heaven for spirit boost now, and just spamming the healing mantra with the shield rune. Transcendence is just insane, and anything that lets me spam more high cost skills is good.

According to http://www.diablowiki.net/Resistances, Physical damage cannot be resisted. Is that not correct any more?

TLPD April Winrate Charts by Ctushikin starcraft

I used to do that before, but turns out it just looks almost exactly like the Int+Kor one. Korean sample size is not big enough to make any real deviation. But thanks for the input!

I would love to have data like this. I think it's only available from replays though. I actually have a connector for the tool I use to make these graphs that can parse replays. Would just need a really big set of them stored somewhere.

This is essentially correct. I find the International numbers more interesting to be honest. Much bigger data set. And look at how close the numbers are . This month is really amazing. Sure you may not be looking at balance on the absolute highest level, but do you really expect a chart to be able to show that?

Haha, yeah. These were factory workers and factory PCs, I guess people just didn't give a shit there. Also, I have to admit it was pretty funny.

This happened at my previous work, but people did it on purpose. Oh, you want to remote over and look? Let me just change my desktop wallpaper to something really obscene and laugh as you explain that to your boss when he walks by.

Those are the standard colors on teamliquid.net, have been since the dawn of time. Feels very natural to me, but can't make everyone happy. =P

This is correct. The trend lines are a cumulative average over 3 months, so slightly more conclusive.

Click the little plus sign in the top right corner for full resolution images. The y-axis is now synced up between the charts, at 30-70. Remember, this data does not explain why lost to X in silver.

Technique to farm credit on gold without wasting precious medigels. by Marcob10in MECoOp

[–]Ctushik 2 points3 points ago

The useful aspect of Sabotage is not the controlling part (although it can be pretty nice), it's the fact that it's a 15 second area effect CC. Stopping a whole group of targets from shooting and usually moving for 15 seconds is huge. Add to that the Explosive Hack talent, which will frequently cause a group to chain explode, and the Tech Vulnerability for 100% more tech damage.

If you want some perspective on the level of discourse here (or on TL.net), go visit the battle.net forums. I found a thread discussing the graphs over there once and decided to read it. Broke my mind.

Note that the y-axis is now consistent between regions (30-70). Versions for R/G color blind are in the gallery.

one of stephano's infestor tricks by meanysc2in starcraft

[–]Ctushik 1 point2 points ago

This "trick" alone got me into diamond. Would be interesting to know which other pros do it. I think I have seen DRG do it, but Idra/Nestea/Losira didn't last time I checked.

TLPD winrate charts for January by Ctushikin starcraft

[–]Ctushik[S] 4 points5 points ago

Honestly, I had no idea people were comparing the results. I'm still somewhat surprised that so many are interested in the Korean stats at all, considering the low sample size. =P

TLPD winrate charts for January by Ctushikin starcraft

[–]Ctushik[S] 5 points6 points ago

That I totally agree with. Both used to be at 40-60, but the Korean one was changed since some data was off the chart. In the next months update I will probably make both chart 20-80 just to maintain that consistency, sacrificing some readability.
