Safety Not Guaranteed, The Movie by Bobloblawlawbombin videos

[–]Clyktose 1 point2 points ago

You are right on my good man. I saw it and there is NO sci-fi. It's all a romance. If that's what you want, great, but it's not what I was expecting. It wasn't even a good romance. And the ending was very "hollywood".

I saw the movie, I wasn't that impressed. It was just another love story and the ending felt fairly "hollywood".

Has anyone here dropped out college because it didn't seem to be a good fit for them? If so, how are things now? by Clyktosein AskReddit

Right now, without a direction, I'm just wasting money. As soon as I figure out what i want to do, I'll go back, but right now it's waste of my time and I'm not motivated to do well because I don't care about what I'm studying.

That was beautiful.

But seriously, over the summer I'm definitely going to look into things and try and start figuring out I can get involved in the industry so I can come back with a plan on how I'm going to get where I want to be.

I used to feel the same way as you, but I guess I've gotten a little cynical over the last few months, so thanks for the reminder of what's important.

I took a film class this semester and I loved it. I was going for English, but then I realized I preferred the visual aspects of films. I'm not sure what job I would want, but that's my passion, and thus the direction I'd like to go.

Everyone around me wants me to go into Comp Sci or Business or something that pays. It's just hard to tell what's right because there are good points on both sides. Hopefully a semester off will offer some clarity.

I have to choose between a major I want and a major that will pay. Or figure out how to make the major I want one that will pay, which is something I hope to look into during this break.

I was homeschooled through highschool, so it was/is really hard for me to adjust. I'm much more used to having the time to reflect and apply what I'm learning to my own personal life instead of just cramming for exams and trying to get a good grade.

I thought about that, but right now the major I'd would be interested in, probably Film, isn't very reassuring as far as getting a job goes. I have to choose between what i want to do and what might pay off in the job market. If I knew I could get a good job with a film, major I would probably be staying. There is a general dissatisfaction with it in general, but I could overcome that if I could pursue something I genuinely enjoyed, like Film.

I love learning too, it's something I want to make sure I keep doing on my own initiative, but, ironically, I feel like my learning has been stifled in some ways while at college. I have learned a lot, but I haven't been able to really think about what I've learned. It's hard to explain.

That's the basis of film, so if a company can tell a short story without any dialogue, then they're probably starting on the right foot.

A moment in cinema that made you sit up and think "wow" by ColumbineCatholicin TrueFilm

Drive, in the hotel. I was watching late at night and that was when I stopped dozing because I knew it just changed from being a nice romance to something much more serious.

Now it's one of my favorites.

List any good, deep 3D animated movies you know of by Armonsterin movies

Rango I didn't get much from. Maybe I need to see it again. But yes, what's great about Pixar is they don't make animated movies, they make movies, and happen to use animation as their medium of choice. They never dumb it down just because people expect less of animation. In that regard, their films are often deeper than live-action films.

A good start, but while always great films, I wouldn't call them all "deep". But then I also can't offer any alternatives, so I can't say too much.

Where did the idea of "life begins at the moment of conception" come from? by 16th_hopin AskReddit

[–]Clyktose 1 point2 points ago

I think it comes from there not being any other easily definable point at which something becomes living. You could say it's 3 months after conception or something, but that arbitrary, so at least at conception there is a clear moment where life would begin.

Every time someone pulls a gun out in a movie I groan. What other common movie/tv occurrences drive you crazy? by CherrySlurpeein AskReddit

[–]Clyktose 0 points1 point ago

Sorry, that was a dickish way of saying what I meant. I just some complaints about some things that just have to happen to make the film be interesting, but I should have worded it better. My bad.

Congrats everyone! You have now realized that films are not perfect reflections of reality. If they were, life would be as awesome and perfectly paced as a movie. Yes, many things have become cliche due to overuse, but being unable to enjoy a film for it being unrealistic is unfortunate.
