My Little Avengers by gogoedwardin mylittlepony

[–]Cleveland_Rocks 9 points10 points ago

Right, so the general consensus seems to be:

  • Captain Applejack
  • Iron Dash
  • FlutterHulk
  • Black Rarity
  • Pink Eye
  • And...Thir? Twil? Twor?

...Yeah, I got nothing. Twilight Sparkle. I mean seriously, I can't even work with that.

I hate that I had to update this, but as a Chicago sports fan lately this about says it all by RetortNationin sports

I heard about this dude who killed a white koi fish. Later that night, he drowned at the North Pole.

I like your shirt ;)

And the movie you're working on sounds awesome. It's the first I've heard about it, but it's great that there are people working on something like that. People need to learn how amazing our city can be!

Yep, the one in Towson, across the parking lot from Target, right?

I hate that horse with a burning passion and yet somehow always get seated right beneath it's terrifying gaze. We asked the hostess to seat us at a different booth once and she gave us the must judgmental stare.

Lebron James has to figure this out. by AndreNickatinain sports

[–]Cleveland_Rocks 10 points11 points ago

Obviously I'm a little biased here, but there's a lot to be said about the way Lebron handled the situation of his free agency. Between going back on his word ("I got a goal, and it's a huge goal, and that's to bring an NBA championship here to Cleveland and I won't stop until I get it"), the way he strung the Cavs front office along until literally the last minute (leaving them scrambling to put together a team when almost everyone else was signed), and then doing an hour-long program on ESPN just to announce what team he chose...that's what caused me to lose my respect for him.

The reasons behind Lebron leaving are debatable and, from the vantage point of 1.5 seasons later, maybe even justified. The inconsiderate, arrogant and flat-out mean way that he left is not.

Really? I think he's pretty great -- a real loyal, humble man.

What is one lie your parents told you as a child that completely screwed you up? by Masmodaiin AskReddit

[–]Cleveland_Rocks 10 points11 points ago

This wasn't a lie told to me by my parents, but when I was about six, my two older brothers (five and six years older than me) decided for some reason that I was old enough to learn about sex.

I can't really recall the part when they were explaining the mechanics of it all, but I distinctly remember them saying at the end that a) if I did this before I was eighteen, my brain would fizzle up and then I would die, and b) this is why I should listen to our mom when she tells me not to sit with my legs spread open, because there's the chance that an ant could crawl up there, and then the whole brain fizzling and me dying thing would happen.

I believed that sex before the age of eighteen kills girls well into my high school years -- which, for a while, confused me because I never understood why everyone wanted to do it so badly. Also, even now, there are times when I get paranoid about sitting cross-legged or with my legs in a V, because some deeply ingrained urge is telling me to protect my hooha otherwise an insect is going to crawl up into my jazz and then I will die.

TL;DR: Older brothers convince me that if anything -- a penis, an ant, etc. -- enters my hooha before the age of eighteen, I will die. Still irrationally paranoid today.

Moffat says "there's one clue everyone missed." Also, series three comes out LATER THIS YEAR by Cleveland_Rocksin Sherlock

[–]Cleveland_Rocks[S] 19 points20 points ago

Idk, there's a lot of rumors floating around on on tumblr (you know, that super reliable source) that perhaps series 3 has already been filmed -- hence why production took longer than they planned -- and that's why the series 2 premiere was pushed back.

It's pure speculation, of course, but hey, whatever gets us through the break...

Yes, THIS.

I grew up (and am still part of) a nondenominational church that kind of painted religion negatively since the term religion has so much to do with rules and dogma. As I got older, I realized that religion can be good and helpful, but it's when you lose sight of what's more important, when you hold the law of religion over your faith, that what you're doing becomes wrong.

It's corny, but what I learned and still believe is that Christianity isn't a religion, it's a relationship.
