There's too many angsty posts, cheer up Reddit! What's that moment that you knew you were in love? by jaylemurin AskReddit

[–]Chocolatemalinche 0 points1 point ago

The first time I saw my husband in person, he used to live in another continent, and we met up by messenger (some mutual friend introduced us) and we talked for hours and hours, he was really intelligent, knew how to discuss philosophy and literature, knew about physics as well, I never imagined him being so delightfully handsome, the moment we meet at the door I knew he was the one

Does anyone else give inanimate objects feelings? by keepourskullsin AskReddit

[–]Chocolatemalinche 1 point2 points ago

I do, for example I hate when Helios balloons go away in the sky, or I have my favorite cup and if I loose it I get really upset, don't worry there is nothing wrong with us, is just that is more socially acceptable being in love with your i-phone or your designer clothes.

Now all the humans do feel "human feelings" for some kind of object, is called anthropomorphic fallacy, is because at some point when we were babies we needed the objects to cover for when our mom or dad were missing.

Does anyone REGRET having kids? by gail_the_snailin AskReddit

What do you mean by growing up?

[–]Chocolatemalinche 1 point2 points ago

I am amazed not by them posting it on reddit , but by the fact that they are willing to post that means they are willing to accept and acknowledge it. I know there are some people who simply don't even think about having kids, there are all kinds of people in reddit, I dont care. I think there is simply to many parents pretending that their kids are the best thing that happened to them and just being passive aggressive with them all the time because they don't have the balls to accept that they have made a mistake. I think is healthier to acknowledge that you may have fucked up and not take it out on your kids just because you cant deal with the truth yourself.

I was dumped by my gf because she thought I wasn't going anywhere in life. What excuses have you heard when you were dumped? by devidualin AskReddit

[–]Chocolatemalinche 0 points1 point ago

Man sorry for you!! Find somebody that suits you better, things will get better with the time, don't worry, you sound like a catch (at least financially speaking LOL), plus you like reddit!

I got dumped because I was to much of a sweetheart, boyfriends were complaining I was almost never mad, I almost never said no, I was too smart and analytic, and that made me uninteresting for them :( Guys like bitches that scream and are contradictory/manipulative with them, they relate those characteristics with femininity

Those of you who have moved from your original country: Why did you do it? How is it working out? by solarplexus7in AskReddit

[–]Chocolatemalinche 0 points1 point ago*

Yes is a wonderful city, if it wasn't so dangerous I would have stayed, is just I couldn't tolerate the feeling of being unsafe all the time. But man believe me, Paris has got some amazing museums as well, one of them the most amazing in the world: Le Louvre.

Yes I have heard the same before coming here, there are nice people here I m sure of that, nevertheless is different the experience you get for coming "to live with a family" and the real experience, but yes you cant stereotype just by one couple, or in my case hundreds of different persons, i'm trying to stay open minded.

reddit, what is the greatest advice on love you have to give? by wildmachinesin AskReddit

[–]Chocolatemalinche 2 points3 points ago

I always see people saying they're scared of falling in love and there for they don't "open themselves" or trust in their significant other as much as they could.

I think it is sad because that is why many don't find the real thing, If you go scared every time you might just ruin it for yourself and the other person as well, don't make a new person pay for the mistakes somebody did in your past.

I have fallen in love many times myself, people disappointed me, hurt me, abandoned me, made me be a fool of myself, I don't regret a thing, I think I have been brave (some may call it stupidity). I found the love of my life after all, 7 years together, married, he makes every day worth living, he makes me a better person, I am happy I took a risk with him, even after all the screw ups I did before.

Yes culture shock is harsh, It makes me laugh when my cousin that is in Germany for only 6 months (as a nanny) tells me he doesn't have culture shock and that I am lame for having it. It s different for people that actually has to get a real job, and an apartment and knows that "I ain't coming back ma'am" :(

I moved from Mexico city to Paris, so it was mainly because it got really ugly really fast there, there are some aggressive people, I was fed up of the constant misogyny ,fed up of the insecurity, when one of my friends got killed and we couldn't find the body and after some idiot crashed my car and corruptively convinced the insurance that it was me that should pay I finally couldn't take it anymore.

I couldnt live in that place anymore, big city, always in the risk, every time I left my house I wondered if I would come back, always pollution, people being kidnapped at any moment and killed because "wrong place wrong time". I just left.

Paris is beautiful, the city is full of art everywhere, there is always some place to go, I have been here 4 years already, I only wish people have told me how racist and xenophobes French were, I got here with all my hope and it crushed me to see that my nationality "gave the right" for other to publicly humiliate me or tell me I come from a 3rd world country and there for I am retarded.

They don't have any clue of how big is Mexico city, Paris is just a little town in comparison where things are slow, and people is really unhappy here, unlike there, here is normal to hate your life, to complain about everything, to not try to do a thing about problems cause is "the fault of the government, or the fault of my boss, or the fault of the system". Anyways, I am learning to be more than what people likes to accept about me, I am growing up, trying to find nice people that don't put me immediately into the "uncivilized beast" box.

I don't want to see the bad part of it, I prefer to think that anyways anything goes as long as my life is safe and I am protected by the police.
