Today is Kenpo and the end of Week 2 by dedbodiezin P90X

[–]CeeDiddy82 0 points1 point ago

honestly, i love kenpo. i know it is not real martial arts, but i don't believe the point of kenpo is to learn martial arts. i believe it is to get your body moving while really having to think about linking a chain of moves together. i have no martial arts training so having to do all the moves is complex to me.

it gets me sweating but i'm still overweight, so i have built in weighted vest and arm bands.

maybe you can download "turbo jam" by Beach Body? or Tae Bo? if you still want a martial arts inspired cardio workout

yes, but he was only dead for 3 days, then he got to go to heaven. hardly a "sacrifice"

yes, there are tons of ideas that people have given to make it better.

more like... my ancestor jaywalked because the no jaywalking sign was written in a different language so they didn't know it was wrong to begin with.

....

you do realize the bible is just recycled myths and quoting it means nothing to me?

the whole point was Jesus didn't actually get sacrificed.

-A Judge getting his son out of jail is very illegal and unethical. It doesn't mean that it has never happened, but as far as legal standards go, it is wrong.

erm, who judged Jesus and let him into heaven?

the whole point of my post was making fun of the whole "jesus died for your sins" thing. thing is, he was brought back to life then went to heaven. that isn't a sacrifice.

i would have more respect for the jesus myth if he actually suffered in hell for other peoples sins... but this "sacrifice" was not a sacrifice at all.

hahaha. i guess it would have been better if i would have also said you never saw the guy who went to jail for you either... and you had to wear a little pair of handcuffs on a necklace to show others what he sacrificed

Look, i am all for you being someone of faith, if that is your choice in life at this moment... but i worry that someone with this magnitude of ignorance and bigotry is a person you, and hundreds more, look up to.

please, find another church where the preacher isn't an ignorant bigot.

I'm new to keto and I really miss drinking juice. Any suggestions? by The2500in keto

[–]CeeDiddy82 1 point2 points ago

3 suggestions-

1- iced green tea with fruit flavors infused. my faves are Bigelow Pomegranate green tea or Teavana mix of orange blossom and plain green tea. i never liked sugar in my tea so these are sweet enough for me. i guess you could add splenda.

2 - very small glass (6 oz) of diet cranberry juice or "light" orange juice.

3 - lemon and/or lime squeezed in ice water

what in the actual fuck? this is a prime example of willing ignorance. it is one thing to be ignorant of information because a church secludes you or blocks off information... but you obviously have access to the internet, so a 5 minute google search would have pulled up information from several reliable sources with information to examples of occurances you state don't exist, along with information about how Nazis/Hitler used Christianity as a core value to exterminate Jews.

how ironic, a distributor of sugar laden drinks deems you to have a heart attack.

for what it is worth, this was one of the main reasons i finally disconnected myself from religion when i was 13.

as a kid, we never went to church. when my mom got a job with a prestigious christian family who owned a pharmacy, she wanted us to go to church to look good for the family, i guess.

i already didn't want to go there as the kids who went to that church were mean to me in school because i didn't wear tommy hilfiger, guess and calvin klein (hey, it was the 90s).

i begrudgingly walked into the megachurch and saw the mean kids all sitting in a pew together. my anxiety grew as my parents choose the pew right behind them. to my surprise they all acted SO HAPPY to see me and they LOVED my outfit. when we sat down my mom said those kids were nice and didn't know why i said they were mean at school.

the preacher then stood at the pulpit, in a $2000 suit, and began his sermon over the camel having a better chance of going through the eye of a needle than a rich man has getting into heaven.

i was livid. i couldn't believe this preacher, who drove a lexus, whose 16 and 17 year old children drove a BMW and an audi, who lived in one of the biggest houses in town, whose children made fun of kids who didn't wear $200 jeans, had the nerve to preach about rich men not getting into heaven.

i never went back after that.

insurance through our job is pretty much the only way we are covered here.

i have great benefits, $25 urgent care/doctor copays and $100 ER copay. prescriptions are pretty cheap too.

in a way i am covered, i am registered cherokee indian, so there are free indian hospitals for me. they are awful though. if it isn't an emergency i would have to just come in and wait to see a doctor at the walk in clinic, and it literally takes 2 days of waiting to be seen. if it is an emergency 8-10 hours before you are seen. the dental office can only do extractions or fillings, no root canals or anything that could be considered cosmetic.

welcome to america.
