This is kind of different from most of these stories, because I made the rule. We were doing a class activity in 10th grade english over Lord of the Flies, which was really just an excuse for a party where we pretended to be stranded on an island; we were split up into groups to create different components of our island society; the flags, foodstuffs, local culture, government, etc. The flag people made a flag from construction paper, the food people just ordered pizza, and so on. My group was in charge of the government, so naturally I wrote a "democratic" constitution which subtly had backdoors in it that allowed me to grab absolute power over the classroom. Being the devious bastard I am, the first thing the government did was instate me as emperor, and I banned all pizza. I was joking, but the rest of the class was pissed. Hell hath no fury like suburban Texan adolescents who are banned from eating pizza. For the rest of the year, I got dirty looks, and passive aggressiveness, and overall hatred from the EVERYONE. It really sunk in when a girl walked up to me and asked, "How does it feel to be hated by everyone?" Worth it.
