I'm in a three way relationship and everyone talks about how quickly it's going to fail, how I'm being "abused and controlled" by my boyfriend, or how I'm confused about my sexuality. I've just about had it. I know it's different, but I'm really tired of people telling me I can never get married or have kids this way. Alright, and? I love him. I love her. They love each other and they love me. We're a little bit shy of a year and happy, we don't need to be married or have a small gaggle of children to be happy.

My mom makes cakes in the same shitty pan she's had since I was born, all scratched and dented, sometimes the cake sticks and tears or the frosting melts a bit, or the candles melt too far down, but the whole thing is homemade and tastes like a deity has risen out of cake flour and graced it with magic.

Fondant cakes are so bland. Pretty, but bland.

I've gotten this. Got a call for a dream job. Took a day off classes to interview only to be told "Oh, we don't hire students" after I had made the trip and had an amazing interview. It was the last fucking minute of the interview that they looked at my resume that said I was attending school still. I got really angry and asked if they were going to compensate my gas bill because they wasted my time, they just looked at me funny.

The look on her face was kind of awesome. After she stormed off and class ended, I found the rose I chomped on on the floor. I threw it in my binder and accidentally pressed it. I still have it! You can't tell I chewed on it since it pressed itself nicely while in my binder, but today it's a nice reminder of all the shit I slogged through to get here. At the time, I just was a sad girl who wanted to go home and the rose was all unloved like me.

First week in a new highschool... the quiet new girl nobody will talk to. It's Valentines day, people are exchanging flowers/chocolates, I'm getting nothing, but really don't care. Two girls walk up to me and toss a half crushed rose on my desk and tell me "Even ugly girls should get roses."
