TED-talk: Why does mindfulness meditation start with the body?

It's amazing how doctors prescribe those drugs to kids without first mentioning/trying proper nutrition (less sugar/carbs), exercise and meditation (including less TV/videogames).

The pills work in the short term, but that's no way of fixing their behavior in the long term.

I started having a similar problem during my teenage years, when I started to spend a lot of time inside, in front of my computer. A while back, after having spent a few months abroad, away from my desk, my skin looked a lot better and the dark circles under my eyes slowly went away.

They returned when I went back to my old routine, however.

So it might be a combination of screen time, dehydration, lack of sunlight, nutrition, etc. My advice would be to focus on being as healthy and fit as possible, which must lead to improvements.

Are they implying that the "promotion of democracy" was ever the actual reason for political or military action against non-democratic states?
