its a buff all lvl 60's obtain that increases their magic find and gold find after killing and elite/champion group. It stacks up to 5 times and lasts 30 minutes(refreshing every champion pack kill). So your loot is substantially better, and Incredibly better for boss fights. 5 blues, 2-4 rares at at a time per boss.

With a full nephalem valor buff, I almost always get at least 5 blues and 2 rares at 60. So thats not entirely true.

After killing each boss for the first time in normal difficulty, they will no longer drop bonus loot. This includes higher difficulties.

It's actually not 30% total. It's 15%, then another 15% of the remaining balance. So you'll hold more money in the end rather than a flat 30% cut.

You obviously didn't play D2 endgame. Blizzard has to support the huge playerbase because they pay monthly for new content and continued entertainment in WoW.

Diablo has never had an obligation to nerf difficulty simply because a group of the playerbase can't complete it. It's the key to the longevity of the game that's being dismissed in you're argument. You can't have a great long term game without seeing the distant summit.

I too have the Diablo 3 release date during my finals. I just plan on doing sheer will power to get some studying time in.

My best suggestion is to find classmates that will remove you from your house to study together, that way you dont have the game looming over you to just play for '30 minutes'.

Also, study now so it won't be so heart-wrenching to get in ALL the material while the game is already out.

You're not the only one. But remember, summer is soon, and if your college is as poor as mine, there is no summer session!
