A few years ago I had to get a laptop for school. I'd had my Toshiba CRT television for a few years by then, and loved it. I still have it, and it still runs great. I thought Toshiba'd then be equally capable of making a great laptop.

Jesus, I knew Fallout 3 was buggy, but this?

Fallout 3 was the game my PS3 was playing when the BRD drive went pfft, also a 40GB.

It was out of warranty, so I opened it up and dusted the crap out of it, and put it back together. Didn't work, but didn't break it more. A lot later, I got fed up of it being broken, kept shoving a Seinfeld DVD into it, and it eventually worked again.

My current Mac is a MBP 3,1 2.4GHz; before this I had a 12" PowerBook G4 1.5GHz.

I've still got the PB 'cause I love it too much to get rid of it.

I'd love a 13" MBP and a Cinema Display, though!
