Nah, probably not. It's more of a stretching exercise than a muscle building one. You might see a slight increase but I doubt it would be very noticeable. (Though I'm not a doctor or a trainer, so who knows?)

Yes , but working tech support is like volunteering to place yourself in a mentally hazardous environment, and thus it isn't a covered condition.

There was a thread on /loseit a month ago or so on shin splints. Here's the short version on prevention:

Instructions:

  1. Find some stairs. Actually, just one stair or a curb will do.
  2. Turn so you're facing down the stairs. Scoot forward until just your heels are on the stair, with the rest of your foot hanging off (you can hold a wall or railing for balance).
  3. With your legs straight, point your toes downward as far as you can, then lift them up as far as you can. Repeat.
  4. Use a timer. Do as many as you can in 30 seconds. Do them rapidly, but with full extension and flexion.
  5. After 30 seconds, bend your knees at a 45-degree angle (about half way). Without pausing to rest, do another 30 seconds of flexing in that position. That's one complete set. If it burns like hell, then you're doing it correctly.
  6. Rest for a minute or two, then do another set—30 seconds with the legs straight, immediately followed by 30 seconds with the knees bent. Rest for a another minute, and repeat the two-part set.
  7. Each day, do three of these two-part sets. The total daily routine includes 6 30-second sessions.

When they say "full retail price" are they talking about the non-subsidized price?

As in: "Sure, buy the phone for $600 and yeah, you can keep your data plan."

I was an extra in a movie about 10 years ago. "Payment" was a biscuit (chicken, if I recall) and a small 8 oz orange juice.

EDIT: In case anyone is curious, it was "Eddie". And, no, I've never seen it.

Stack up dirt, or some other material.
Put a post on top.
Destroy the block under the fence post.
Add fence post to now empty space.
Destroy next block down.
Rinse and repeat as needed.

8 character max? That's ridiculous. You'd usually see an 8 character minimum.

Give 'em a good washing between the leaves before cooking. Leeks are notorious for collecting dirt.

It's for 3.5, which is easy enough to convert to PF.

One thing to check on, make sure magic items like wands (my primary reason for UMD) are going to be available. I once had a rogue with plenty of points in UMD, never saw a single wand. Turns out the GM was recently converted from D&D 1st ed and hadn't quite adapted to my expectations of Pathfinder.

Skyrim DLC: Dawnguard by seabanin gamernews

Microsoft and Bethesda have been good buddies going back to around 2000/2001 with the release of Morrowind on the Xbox. Having the game on the console helped both companies by both getting the game in front of more players (good for Bethesda), and having such a massive and desired RPG for the console (good for Microsoft).

The release patterns of previous games and DLC holds true to Bethesda's preference of the 360 over the PS3 (I believe there was an interview with Todd Howard saying as much), with the PC being an unfortunate exclusivity casualty along the way.

Oh, I'm sure my old middle school Latin teacher would have something to say about my ability (or lack thereof) to translate anything these days. I just plugged it in to Google's Latin->English translator.

Occidere can be all kinds of stuff like fall/kill/die/smash, stuff like that. If you figure "vis" is face then you probably end up with an ancient "facepalm."

Portable printers are about the size of a hardback fantasy novel, something by Jordan, Martin, or Sanderson.
