Is a white shirt with white shoes too matchy? by murkinlolin malefashionadvice

[–]Atersed 0 points1 point ago

In my opinion, I don't think it's too matchy. I tend to ignore the "matchy-ness" rules if the color is black or white. Like wearing a white pocket square with white shirt is fine, but purple pocket square and purple shirt is too matchy.

My Spring/Summer wardrobe. Opinions, and advice needed. by AutoArtin malefashionadvice

All your colors are very neutral (beige, navy, gray)! This is a good and bad thing: It makes matching the colors together very easy, but can look boring. You can slowly add some brigher, bolder pieces and wear them alongside the neutral ones. Example: pink polo/shirt with navy shorts.

If you want a summer alternative to jeans, go with light chinos; light both in weight and color.

And in terms of matching, it not normally a good idea to wear more than one of the same color, so don't wear navy shorts with navy polo, or gray v neck under the same shade of gray jacket.

Cos they look like bicycle toe stitch shoes (not good) with holes cut out of them. The sole isn't doing it any favors either.

The jacket is so big that it's sitting on his shoulders unevenly, causing this.

Prom suit question by phantomatic1in malefashionadvice

[–]Atersed 0 points1 point ago

Never wear brown shoes with black suit. You can wear brown shoes with charcoal or gray, however. Your belt should always match you shoes, and you should wear black shoes with a black suit (so black belt is also worn).

Shirt and tie color is up for discussion. Safest bet is a white shirt, and then the ties depend on what you have available.

I heard a magic eraser can work, or a washing machine. But I must add I don't own any white plimsols.

My Facebook friend posted a picture similar to the one on the front page. by TravisBroylesin mildlyinteresting

At first I thought it was some kind of metaphor. Like, if you look at the details, Facebook and Reddit are completely different. However, take a step back and compare the two and they are very similar.

Then I realised this was in /r/mildlyinteresting.

Does it sort of poof out from the sides? The shirt may be too big/not slim enough in the body.

No way man. What is difficult for some is easy for others, and vice versa. As long as you're moving away from your comfort zone, you're making progress for sure.

Cheap watch, bought on impulse. Would it work in a casual situation (t-shirt and jeans, maybe polo or short sleeve button up)? by nerdrowwilson1in malefashionadvice

[–]Atersed 0 points1 point ago

Yeah it seems like a pretty chunky, casual watch to me. "Dressier" watches tend to be slimmer and simpler.
