As for the complaint that the Occupy group lacks a message, here's my opinion of the matter. Occupy is an expression of being locked out of the political process. American politics is a bad joke, it's all a theatrical performance for the public's eyes and the real influence comes from money which, thanks to the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling, has poisoned the whole process. Congress is dysfunctionally paralyzed with every decision put before it. Even if there's wide public support for something, the moneyed interests that have bought the politicians won't allow them to do anything that radically affects the status quo that they benefit from.

So Occupy is more of a statement than a political agenda. They are occupying because they don't know what else to do. They have no voice. The system is broken. The dice are loaded. The game is rigged. And the media gets mad at them because they won't play into the game.

If i was the offical spokesman for Occupy, the closest thing to a political demand that i would make would be to overturn Citizens United ruling and demand campaign finance reform.
