Listen, I'm really glad you can do math but this simply isn't true. TRY IT FOR YOURSELF.

I just folded a sheet of paper in 1/2 4x times. According to you, and others, it should be the equiv. width of 16 pieces of the same paper. But it's not. Try it.

ps. I'm not even folding the paper as tight as it could be.

I never said my calc was 100% correct so there is NO CONTENTION there. You will clearly see I said roughly, as in, estimating.

By the way, I folded a piece of paper in half 3 times. According to some it should be 8x as thick.

1 fold = 2x

2 fold = 4x

3 fold = 8x

But this is not true. It is almost exactly as thick as FOUR sheets of the same paper, not 8. When comparing this folded sheet to 8x sheets it's clearer thinner.

Try it yourself. Make sure you make nice clean tight folds.

Repeat that over and over and over. You could never fold a sheet of paper in 1/2 100 times and something with the volume of a sheet of paper could never reach a mass great enough to span 13 billion light years.

edit : Ok here's the math. Take 150 sheets of paper and stack them up. I added 50 to roughly account for the 100 folds in your equation. Then come back and tell us if it's 13 billion light years thick.
