In a way, he's actually right about atheists having the biggest problem. When you can just take the Bible's word on everything, you've got no problem at all with how the world was made and populated, God was responsible for all that, so there's no problem at all.

As an atheist, one has to confront the fact that such an explanation isn't adequate, and so it has to be replaced by one that is. The reason atheists have the biggest problem is because they can't accept the simple answer and instead have to break down the question of life on Earth scientifically, and then do years, decades, generations of research to find a workable theory that can chip away a fragment from the pillar of reality.

It's exhaustive, never-ending, and often thankless work, but everyone involved knows that there's no other option. What else could they do? Give up? Let religion take over again for another thousand years? Of course not. So the battle drags on, and always will. That's the problem atheists face: and endless uphill battle where the stakes are effectively the future of the human race.
